Well, that's definitely another thing the Genesis did that Nintendidn't. At least the carts (regardless of who made them) for the NTSC Super Nintendo and JP Super Famicom/PAL Super Nintendo were the same size... excepting the Super Game Boy, Game Genie, and other peripheral cartridges of course; but aside from those, the height and size were fairly consistent.

This was probably a week ago (whoops), but I got Dementium: The Ward, Fossil Fighters, and Monster Tale for the DS. Dementium is really good.

@WaveBoy
Who is Terri Lynn? While Wikipedia defaults to some Tennessee House of Representatives.
But that is probably Terri Lynn Doss. Once a Playboy Playmate, looks like her only credit by IMDB is a guest of Full House ("Jessie's girlfriend". I guess. I didn't watch Full House that much but I know it's not that other one. What was her name, Becky?) and an appearance in Die Hard.

I got:

Namco Guncon Controller (PS1)
SaGa Frontier 2 (PSOne)
Rygar (NES)
Xexyz (NES)
Conquest of the Crystal Castle (NES)
Jet Force Gemini (N64)

I'm pretty much good on N64 games except Harvest Moon 64, the two Goemons, DOOM 64, Quake II, and Goldeneye 007...that's a lot more when I list it out, actually...but none of them are major priorities, so...

I got today Dragon Warrior 1 and 2 for the gameboy color.

Nice. I picked that cart up a little while back, it's a nice one to have. I blasted through 1 and took a break from playing a little bit into 2 (stopped shortly after getting all three characters together).
That reminds me, I still need to pick up the Dragon Warrior III GBC port at some point.

I wouldn't mention digital, but I thought I'd mention this somewhere...
so I got a JP New 3DS and I downloaded some exclusive JP VC games.
As you may guess, like the NES in the west, Famicom games have a channel icon of a Famicom and a TV. What I noticed is that it seems the Famicom cart in the model seems to correspond to the color of the original cart. (FF3 and Famicom Wars are white/beige, Metal Max is gray and Fire Emblem Gaiden is black. FDS also gets a unique icon, whereas in the west is just categorized as NES (SMB: The Lost Levels and Murasame Castle). --- you NES for your boxy design keeping us from this cool touch.
(although I got Getsu-Fuuma Den and I see they didn't take it to the extreme of modeling third-party carts)

I was going to wait before posting since I've got a couple more things on the way, but since they're coming from Japan, it'll probably be a while before they arrive. In the meantime, here's what i recently picked up ...

.
Untitled
No Escape! (Atari 2600) - Another addition to my Imagic 2600 collection. One of the more uncommon of the Imagic set, and i managed to get it for like a third of the usual going price. Quite a cool game, with its unique take on the Space Inavders style of gameplay.

.
Untitled
Nintendo Fun Club News, Issue 7 - Many of you i'm sure don't remember the Fun Club Newsletter, which was Nintendo's (free!) precursor to Nintendo Power. This is actually the final issue before the Nintendo Power launch, and man does it bring back plenty of nostalgic memories - the classic ads alone make these worth owning. I wish i still had my old issues from back in the day (especially as most of them are VERY expensive these days!).

.
Untitled
Pro Wrestling, Tetris (w/manual), Willow (all boxed) (NES) - The boxes are kinda beat up, but i don't care. I got these three as a decently priced bundle, and really the only reason i got it was because i wanted to buy a copy of Willow and would have had to spend at least half the price just for a cart-only copy of the game. Plus, Pro Wrestling and Tetris are two of my NES faves (i already have them cart-only), so it's nice to have boxed copies.

.
That's it for now kiddies. As i mentioned, i have a couple things on the way from Japan, which should be arriving (hopefully) some time next week or so. Stay tuned!

I remember in 2000, it was news when a copy of the first issue of Nintendo Fun Club sold for over $1,000.
(I suppose you wished you took Doc Louis advice and signed up for the Nintendo Fun Club, did you?
I wonder if they changed that on the Wii/3DS?
I know a guy that tried to sell a full set right after and I think he got like $300.

@RancidVomit86 - You have no idea how much I fauned over that Mechwarriors 2 Battle Pack Box as a kid (or was it just the deluxe Mechwarriors 2 box?). Never got to buy it, but I could've looked over the packaging and visible contents for hours...I'm surprised how many months it sat in Wal-Mart and AMES. Pretty sure it was the same two boxes I was looking at all that time...

Natually I didn't have a computer that could run it at thetime, but I did have the demo, which we even got a flight stick for for some reason? Seriously, how did the clerk talk my mom into buying that piece of crap? It broke in a day, too...I mean, of course it broke, we were 5 and 7, respectively...pretty sure it was a Mad Cats flight stick, too...

I know one, maybe two of those? took a bite out of your wallet, I'm sure.

Related to Iron Commando, I'm shocked to see what "Legend" for the SNES goes for now. It looks beautiful but it's near unplayable.
