Its funny that you two are talking about Gameboy Color. I just found my clear purple one the other day (Which I thought I got rid of years ago) in a house I am cleaning out. I popped in a game and it was working fine still.

The Genny game is Mega Drive only, right? I want to get that one as well; it looks like a better version of the first SFC game.

yes and no. it fits in an original genny system or a clone...ill show you what i mean

If you are meaning, can you play Mega Drive games on a Genesis?
US and EU used the same carts, so barring lockout programming, you can.
But Japanese used a different case. Unless you want to cut the console case, you need a converter or a Game Genie to make them fit in a western console.
(if you look at the back of a western Gen/MD cart, you'll see grooves along the sides of the cart, but the ridges on the side of a JP cart block it from fitting in a western console.
Conversely, Japanese carts have a hole in the side (to lock the cart from being removed with the power on, a feature removed in later/western revisions). Which is why the aftermarket games use a western-style case with the hole for Japanese compatibility.

I bought Elemental Gearbolt for the PS1. It seemed to be priced alright and the listing had a picture. It's coming in a generic case, but that's fine so long as it didn't cost an arm and a leg...

The problem is I also sent an offer on eBay for a GunCon aaand it turns out I'm 75 cents short even on my offer...kinda hope he declines.

I ordered Chojin Sentai Jetman for the Famicom, cart only. It's probably an average game at best, especially not being a huge fan of Power Rangers or whatever Japanese shows they took their footage from.
And a random obscure PS1 anime(?) JRPG "Crime Crackers". Probably not going to expect much as it seems to be a really early game.

I had got Trapt for PS2. Kinda wondering why the seller put the disc in a paper sleeve inside the case instead of just, well in the case. But it doesn't appear to be scratched or anything, thankfully.

Just Ranma 1/2 part 3 for the Super Famicom, finally getting a cart to go with the loose manual I've had for awhile.
That fighting game, doesn't suck, I hear?

Bought "Dance Dance Revolution with Mario (JP)" for the GameCube. Brand new, never been opened. Cost me £17 in total. I've seen used copies go for about £40, so I am pleased with that.

EarthBound X3
So two weeks ago I got two games:
One of them is Kuru Kuru Kururin for the Game Boy Advance, which I imported from Japan because let's face it: JP/PAL games like Pop'n TwinBee and TwinBee: Rainbow Bell Adventure remained in these regions even on the Nintendo Wii U eShop, what chance is there that this GBA title is actually going to see an American release any time soon? Anyway, the game is pretty fun and I like the idea behind its challenge. That day I also got Smart Ball for the SNES for review purposes, even though I got the original Japanese version Jerry Boy last year. Today I submitted the review of it on my blog and shared my thoughts on both versions (mostly Jerry Boy). ... The unreleased sequel Jelly Boy 2 is better than both versions combined, but that's just my opinion.

This week I also got two games:
Mickey's Ultimate Challenge for the SNES. For being WayForward's first game, long before they actually became WayForward, it's not bad and it's pretty harmless while it lasts... up until the block sliding puzzle at the end which takes an inordinate amount of time to solve (seriously, why are those a thing? I can barely solve them in the Game Boy version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame Topsy Turvy Games without losing my patience). Moving past that, I also received my newest Genesis game James Pond: Underwater Agent; the cart's taller than usual Genesis carts (I guess it must have been an EA thing or something). Lately I've been curious to try my hand at the James Pond series, so naturally I decided to start from the beginning. And the beginning is... okay, I guess? It's interesting, though perhaps it'll get better as I go along? Maybe? o~O

@Neko_Rukiafan - great game, great T-shirt!

I think EA was the only licensed third-party publisher that got the right to make their own carts. (I remember they once said they actually had figured out how to make unlicensed carts if they wanted to, which is probably how they were able to talk themselves into a better licensing deal with Sega. )
The others I think were all unlicensed (including Accolate/Ballistic that only became licensed later in the Genesis' life)
Though in Japan, Sunsoft almost made their own carts.
But I've seen Namco, Konami and maybe others that look like Sega carts but have their name replacing the Sega logo on the back.

StarBoy91

Huh! I knew Konami did it (I own a couple Genesis carts made by them) but I had no idea Namco did the same.
