Final Fantasy III isn't one of the options, syko. Might wanna look again.
If you're referring to FFVI by the name it was originally called in its american localization, that's just stupid. Not only has FFVI been re-released multiple times here with its proper name, but the actual FFIII has been translated and ported to numerous platforms. It just annoys me so much when people say FFII/III instead of IV/VI :/
@zezhyrule: Well, I've only played Final Fantasy III (aka VI) for the SNES and although I have them, I haven't played the remakes yet, so yea FFIII! My vote still counts, it's still the same game in the end, I'm just not 100% sure if there are any story differences due to retranslations and if it annoys you, well then...that just makes it all the better.
Yea! Final Fantasy III from Squaresoft from my childhood!
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.
Actually it doesn't annoy me that much. I was just in a ranty mood when I posted that. Sorry if I sounded rude n_n
I guess the only reason I dislike it is because it only serves to further confuse people, and the FF series doesn't need more confusion so there should be a standardized way to refer to them, which would of course be their actual names

Is that all that's stopping you from enjoying it, though? I mean, yeah, the super-deformed-to-properly-proportioned character model shift is kind of a goofy relic of its time, but it's not really FFVII's fault that Square hadn't mastered their PS1 visual wizardry until well after it was released. I never felt like it got in the way of anything - it didn't make the cast less interesting, the plot less compelling, the Gold Saucer less addicting or the Chocobo inbreeding less bizarrely-and-tediously fascinating.
