Ruby/Sapphire Hands down.

I continued to play R/S after I beat the main story. D/P just kind of fell...I still love it though!

R/S, gen 3 is my fav. gen.

Man, Zelda games are amazing and Wind Waker and Skyward Sword both are fantastic and bring their own charms. I'll have to say Skyward Sword though.

wind waker easily, skyward sword is the worst zelda I've ever played.

I find it so bad (as a zelda game, not as a game per se) I do not consider myself a zelda fan anymore.

That's a really hard choice, I love both.
I've been too lazy to finish Skyward Sword yet, and to even it up, I have to go for Wind Waker.

@tesla, I don't know why some people will say its the "worst they've played" I found it to be amazing. Then again that's just my opinion, but I also have an opinion that every Zelda game is somewhat good at default. I've never disliked one that I've played.

They're both easily my least favorite 3D Zelda games,but in terms on one that is actually a bit less boring than the other one it'll have to be Wind Waker.
So my vote goes for The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker.

whilst i loved parts of Skyward Sword, i found much of it boring/tedious. yeah, i was disappointed.

so i have to go for Wind Waker.

I haven't played Skyward sword yet but Wind waker is a fantastic game and is the second best Zelda game to me (second to Majora's mask) so I'm voting for that.

Love how people are calling Skyward Sword tedious. Anyone remember the Triforce hunting in Wind Waker? More tedious than anything else in a Zelda game.

I took time out of vacation to post this, so it better win.

The Wind Waker is the best zelda game ever. Skyward Sword feels... confined to me. They could have done so much, but the over world is too small.

Controls aside, I liked the overall fighting mechanic as well as dungeon layout better in Wind Waker.

. . . but on the other hand Skyward Sword had a much richer and more closely-knitted overworld as well as story.

Both games had fantastic art styles and honestly, choosing between these two great Zelda titles feels like choosing one of your own kids as the favourite.

i expected more from Skyward Sword in some parts. The sky could have been much more than it was and the ground was lovely but there were large parts where there wasn't much to really do. The desert was beautiful but much of it was redoing what you'd already been thru. this is just my opinion from my playing it.
