Since the controllers are going to be rebranded Wii/Wii U Classic Controllers, if they did anything they'd make them attach to the back.

I want one but refuse to pay overpriced ebay scalpers for a mini Famicom.

With the mini Famicom, I wonder if the controllers are connected through ports on the back or bottom? Since the NES controllers were announced as Wii/U CC compatible, I can't imagine they'd change that for Japan.

Since the full list hasn't been posted: Adventure of Link, Atlantis no Nazo, Balloon Fight, Castlevania, Donkey Kong, Double Dragon II, Downtown Nekketsu Soreyuke Dai Undokai, Dr. Mario, Excite-Bike, Final Fantasy III, Galaga, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Gradius, Ice Climber, Kirby's Adventure, The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Mega Man 2, Metroid, NES Open Tournament Golf, Ninja Gaiden, Pac-Man, River City Ransom, Solomon's Key, Super Mario Bros., Super C, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Tsuppari Oosumo, Yie Ar Kung Fu.

So, exclusives for Japan:
Atlantis no Nazo, Downtown Nekketsu Soreyuke Dai Undokai, Final Fantasy III, NES Open Tournament Golf, River City Ransom, Solomon's Key, Tsuppari Oosumo, Yie Ar Kung Fu.
Exclusive for the west:
Bubble Bobble, Castlevania II, Donkey Kong Jr., Final Fantasy, Kid Icarus, Punch-Out, StarTropics, Tecmo Bowl

Both have exclusive games I'd like to play. Though I think the NES version has better variety.

I still believe NES open tournament should've been in the NES mini.

Well, since they had to shrink down the console, and the controls are meant to fit in it... They had to shrink them down too.

I guess we got the better deal in that aspect.

We don't know, but it doesn't look like they are.

After all, they're imitating a console that had permanent controllers.

The controllers are hardwired into the Famicom mini.

...Wow those controllers are small...If I snag one this may not get much playtime due to hand cramps.

You can always get the 'murican one.

With its beautiful, full-sized, detachable, multifunctional controllers.

Despite the small (and permanently attached) controllers, I still want one. Doubt I'll get one though. I've never imported anything before.

Eel

Yeah, they're probably that short because they're compatible with the Wiimote.

I assume there's extensions available somewhere.

It's not just the short leads. Though not mentioned in the article below, I've read elsewhere that like some of their handhelds it doesn't come supplied with a plug.

They're not hugely impressed. Looks like Nintendo is at their corner cutting again.
