Wow, there's so many ... ? Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey! Narrow our options down a bit?

@Apportal Wow, and @gcunit thought the thread expanded quickly before....... That's an open ended question. I guess the first question is, if would be your first XB, have you already played a PS or PC library or is this your first leap outside the Nintendoverse?

@BruceCM How about platforming? Or something with a good story?

Final Fantasy games have good stories, @Apportal.... Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is bc on XB1, since that's the sort of platformer I play
It does depend if you had PS systems for the games on those as well

@BruceCM I was planning to get an Xbox Series S. It seems to be the cheapest yet effective one. I haven't played much FF so I'll try it. Thanks for the recommendations

Platformers and games with good story...? Final Fantasy games, Rare Replay, New Super Lucky's Tale, Crash Bandicoot N.sane Trilogy (wait and see if 4 gets a Series X/S version), Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of Wisps, Quantum Break, the Tomb Raider games, Hellblade, the Bioshock games, Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered (it will be released next year), the Assassin's Creed games (first included), the Resident Evil games, The Witcher 3...

Love the boot screen on the Series X. Very classy and stylish.

Wow that is fast, still not enough for me to be an early adopter but it is nice to see. I wish that they figured out a way to make the installs of games optional. Having to sit through installing games before I can play the disk nearly broke me on playing xbox and playstation. Obviously the best experience would be install but I don't have a lot of free time. I just wanna pop in the game, get a little time in and then move on with my day.

@Ralizah Oh man, that is the smoothest boot-up screen I've ever seen. Simple, but elegant.

@Apportal Yeah, it's REALLY cool. Too bad most people will see it maybe five times over the course of a generation.

My favorite will always be the PS1's boot screen, though. That weird combination of sounds sends me straight back to the late 90s.

@Ralizah It sounds like the beginning of a Daft Punk song. After watching Tron Legacy DP has become my favorite band to listen to on my way to work.

It's hard to say what my favorite would be, but it would probably be the Wii U. I don't know why, it's just a weird little tune that makes me feel relieved in some way.

So there are actually still a few games I want to try out on my ps4 but now I'm kind of looking at game pass and... withholding my purchase. Isn't Nier on game pass? Are the Yakuza games on it?
It really depends on how many of the Japanese games will be joining the subscription.

Nier Automata & all 3 Yakuza games currently on XBox are in GamePass, @Spanjard .... Dunno what other games might be coming soon

Wii U has a smoothing intro but then when I start hearing the annoying sounds of the Miis I turn the volume down. THAT is a demented sound, @Ralizah 😁.

My favourite OS sounds and music EVER is GameCube, no doubt about it.

However I love the new Xbox boot screen and sound, very classy and stylish. The Xbox One X has a cinema THX intro @DarthNocturnal so I'm glad about this simplicity.

@Spanjard Download the Xbox Game Pass app and you can check and search games easily.

As many of us expected, xCloud, now known as Game Pass Cloud, will be available on Xbox and Windows soon.

@Ryu_Niiyama with 4k ubd drives and ssds installs should be a loooot faster! And thrashing discs while playing is soooo 2004.

I'm thinking about getting Xbox gamepass on PC since the only thing I have to lose is a dollar for my first month. Do you need Xbox live to play games from it online? Or is that only on console.

@Lindhardt You don't need Gold to play online on PC so Game Pass for PC is enough for you. Game Pass Ultimate includes Game Pass for PC+Xbox+Cloud+Gold.
