I'm pretty sure I have that one, but I didn't even remember it had a second disc.

@Peek-a-boo: sure I'll admit to being hyperbolic with my comparison for delays, but then again you're the one hyping up a game months from release saying it could be one of the best games this generation, so we're both guilty of it I guess. Your comment just read to me like this delay is something we should be excited about and is making you more excited, like nothing Naughty Dog can do is a cause for concern, am I cynical for being cautious about this delay or are you being overly positive about it? We'll just have to wait for the game to be released (eventually) to be sure, especially with this game of the generation nonsense. I think that's the sensible thing to do, don't you? For clarity's sake The Last of Us is my second favourite ever game, so I know how good Naughty Dog games can be but even when TLOU2 is announced I'd like to think I'd not be so caught up in the hype, it usually leads to disappointment IMO.

@Peek-a-boo: I'm guessing a game will usually run better on whatever the lead development platform is, no matter the difference in power. Same situation happened last gen in reverse with the PS3 and 360: even though the PS3 was a more powerful console, several multiplatform games on it were inferior to the 360 versions.

And hey, at least Restless Dreams had extra content in it, unlike the vanilla version on the PS2. People had to rebuy the greatest hits version to get the extra content.

I finally got my PS4 yesterday and it is very nice. I got the battlefront bundle so I spent all of today playing the heck out of it. So much fun!! I have to ask, what are some good games, retail or not that I should get?

@Rogueleader0908: Bloodborne GOTY edition, Dark Souls 2 if you didn't play it, Infamous with First Light, Tearaway: Unfolded, Until Dawn, Nathan Drake Collection, Metal Gear Solid 5... depends if you have other console, game on PC or had/have PS3

@Tasuki: I think tomorrow I'll buy a year of ps+ (Which I hate the concept of) and a card to get rocket league. Thanks

@Rogueleader0908: Not a problem Rocket League is a great game. It's easy to pick up and alot of fun. I don't play games online too much but Rocket League I definitely make an exception. It's probably my most played PS4 game this year.

@Rogueleader0908: I too once slightly resented the concept of PS+, mainly because I never had to pay for online multiplayer on the Wii or PlayStation 3.

I did, however, warmed to this 'concept' quicker than I expected, mostly due to having two 'free' games to dabble with on my PS3, PS4 and PS Vita every single month.

I passed on my PlayStation 3 to a foster home that is run by a charity back in August, and my life long friend who travels the world as a freelance photographer has my PS Vita in tow so, I only have my PlayStation 4 to contend with on the PS+ side of things.

I no longer feel overwhelmed with having to play six games a month!

Rocket League is a must, and is still heavily populated too. I also recommend the likes of Axiom Verge, Bloodborne, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, The Last of Us Remastered, Life is Strange, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, SOMA, Tearaway Unfolded, The Uncharted Collection and Until Dawn.

Those are ten of my favourite games on the PlayStation 4, although two of them are very, very good remasters that is worth anybody's time if you missed out on them on the PlayStation 3.

Enjoy your new toy Mr. Rogue Leader!

I did say that it 'may well' for a reason,

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and The Last of Us are arguably two of the very best and influential games of the last generation, and I cannot see why Uncharted 4: A Thief's End could well be the very best game of this generation.

It is a bit daft to use Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Cononial Marines as an example of a delayed game being bad. Do you really think Uncharted 4 has the potential to be settled amongst some of the worse games in the past decade?

As for the other games I listed, they are all shaping up to be something special in their own right. You might not care about them, but plenty of others do! It's a good and diverse line up of games for the first three or four months of 2016.

First things first... Last of Us is so freaking overrated.

Secondly, Uncharted 4 is bringing in a random long lost brother who many suspect is corrupted. That guy is gonna ruin the story. Amazing presentation but poor story might just be Uncharted 4's life. And must I bring up Uncharted 3's sloppy story?

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

I bought it used a long time ago, but the slipcase was so tattered and dirty I threw it away, kept the rest

Funnily enough, despite the original Xbox having a fair bit bit more power compared to the PlayStation 2, Silent Hill 2 ran better on the latter console, especially noticeable at the beginning when you were running along the foggy path towards the car park and the toilet.

That part stuttered like MAD on the Xbox, for whatever illogical reason.

I also hope we'll see the game as part of the PS2 Classics range on the PlayStation 4 somewhere down the line. It is one of the most memorable games I have played, and I have a tough time choosing between the first two as my favourite. They are both incredible in their own right.

I doubt it will come to PS4 as Konami seems to have gone full-mental. Well, regarding anything other than MGS. Best bet is find it on PC somewhere and mod it to become HD widescreen. (What I would give for an official Steam or GOG release!)

We do not talk about that horrendous "HD collection" they shat out years ago...

I'm sure UC4 will be great for people who are taken with modern ND. As for me, I can't stand the tedious platforming, unsatisfying gunplay, or ultra-linear, QTE-heavy "cinematic" gameplay structured around various elaborately set-up scenes in their games. I miss their Crash Bandicoot days.

The game will undoubtedly look very good, though, and when I do eventually get it, I'm sure I'll Ooo and Aaa over the gorgeous-looking mud like everyone else.

@Ralizah: yeah I just got The Uncharted Collection for Christmas and have played through the first 50% of Drake's Fortune, and boy is it a flawed and outdated game. As you say the 'platforming' is all over the place, leading to several annoying deaths, and its linearity and waved based enemies make the exploration non-existent and fighting boring, with the biggest outdated mechanic in the entire game being the gunplay, amazing to see how far Naughty Dog have come comparing this to The Last of Us.

But yeah I was warned it would be this bad, at the very least outdated but I have to say I have a hard time even seeing how this was a great game for its time, especially considering it was released in the same year as Super Mario Galaxy and on a 'better' platform. Anyone with an inklin of gaming knowledge can say which of those two is the worst and most outdated. Kinda funny as well to compare this to another debut title of one of Sony's premium franchises- God of War. I played that for the first time recently and was very underwhelmed for similar reasons as with Drake's Fortune, it's incredibly outdated. And apparently it's only old Nintendo games that are good because of 'nostalgia goggles' at least according to primarily PlayStation fans.

But I've also been told that Uncharted 2 and God of War 2 are the best so I'm still looking forward to those games. I'll probably just pick up Uncharted 4 for £20 a couple of months after launch, which will be just in time for Christmas

Only just finished The Old Hunters this morning after struggling with Ludwig the Accursed (shown below) for so long due to carrying on through New Game+ as well as being slightly under levelled to begin with, at level 89.

Untitled

The rather generously-sized expansion has elevated my opinion of Bloodborne even more, despite already being my favourite game of the year. The lore makes a little bit more sense, and to see parts of Yharnam before the nightly hunt begun is brilliant, especially with the environments being even more twisted and warped than before.

There's five bosses of variable variety, five new weapons, three new guns and an array of new costumes and items to find.

All in all, I spent between 18 to 20 hours on an expansion that costs £15 - roughly 80 pence for every gripping hour!

I know there are a few fans on here, and I highly recommend (struggling through) The Old Hunters.

@Peek-a-boo: I will buy this eventually but not until it goes on a discount. It could add on 10 years to my lifespan and make me find true love but even that won't cover over the fact that Sony stealth-bummed up the price for this by (I think not 100% sure) £5 for nothing more than greed. Added to the fact that the GOTY edition was announced, released and already slashed in price to £35 and here I am as a day one buyer of the game for £50 asked to pay another £18 for this expansion. Yeaaaaaaaaah not gonna happen Sony. Glad to see it is high quality and I will probably buy this in March instead of Dark Souls 3 because I don't like Dark Souls.

@TheLastLugia: The Old Hunters was originally two separate add ons, each costing £9 however, they created one big cohesive expansion in the end and offered it as one add on, hence the delay of releasing it in November as opposed to the original date in the summer.

They could have charged £18 by adding both separate add ons together however, they actually reduced the price to £15 instead, which is nice of them I guess.

Either way, you can buy the 'Game of the Year' edition for £40 if you shop around so, you shall be saving on both the main game and The Old Hunters expansion.

Peek-a-boo

Shinion

@Peek-a-boo: I'm more cynical here I'm afraid, The Old Hunters was £11 when I saw it at the time of buying the full game and so will wait until it inevitably goes back to that price or lower regardless of the reasons for doing it or how good it is. I COULD say that this should be in the main game anyway but I'm not THAT set against DLC and expansions. I've not even bought The Witcher 3's Season Pass yet as I'm waiting for it to be discounted and I have nothing against CDPR and I believe it will be more than worth £20, as the main game is my GOTY.

I completed Uncharted Drake's Fortune in The Uncharted Collection today and man... I don't wanna talk about it. Ever. Apart from this little bit here. To say that I now fully comprehend why Sony/Naughty Dog 'fanboys' (I despise that word but it's suitable in this context I suppose) completely gloss over this game in their worship of their favourite game developers is the understatement of the year, almost all of the game was complete amateur hour that by the end I wasn't even mad at the abysmal, rushed and boring finale as I was still laughing at the pathetic monsters they shoehorned in and I was just relived it was all over. Strike that one off the record, it was as bad as I was warned it would be, though I at least give credit to Bluepoint for doing a great job making this average game at least somewhat fun in parts by today's standards. Amazing to think that in half a dozen years Naughty Dog went from amateur hour to The Last of Us, it was worth getting through that terrible game just to fully appreciate that.

I've moved on quickly to Among Theives and can already tell it is a massive improvement, which was of course a necessity. Great opening and continuing of the best parts of the first, the likeable characters and great acting. It can only get better I guess

Can't wait for your opinion about 2nd if you thought it was laughable - from 2nd game you will explode. Only 3rd game sorta dropped that.
2nd game got way, way too far with taking out entire army and shoehorned monsters. Even Gears of War doesn't have bodycount that high.
I don't know what is that amateur hour you constantly repeat, though. It's still great game, but the awesomness of avrage of tlou gameplay wise shows what are your standards.

Changed the HDD for PS4 yesterday, because by complete accident I noticed you can back up the hdd and then dump it on new one. And changing drives doesn't take 20 min. At all.

Downloaded Transformers, because it was dirt cheap on sale (cheaper than PC - take that mustard race), and consoles are not supposed to have sales!
