There aren't enough good PSP games coming out soon. In fact, I think Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and Valkyria Chronicles 2 are the only ones that interest me, though I'd have to double check. Not that it really matters, there are still plenty of games I've yet to get, and even more that I still have to finish.

@gaminguy.... no worries at all man. The thread was pretty burried

As for Peace Walker... Im really impressed that they have apparently gotten the controls down perfect by limiting the movements. Portable Ops just tried to do way too much and Peace Walker has supposively fixed that problem. Im looking forward to grabbing it in a few months, unless I find it on the cheap between now and then.

PSP Minis anybody buys one, plays one whatever. They are really hard to find info on, so any advice on them would be great here!

I treat Minis the same way I treat Wiiware and Apps. And by that I mean I curse their existance and do my best to pretend they were never created.

Well, first off, it should look like a michine you could actually use outdoors. A floppy screen like that would be impossible to keep straight, especially on a windy day. Second of all, it should look like something you can actually hold in your hand and actually play games on. Holding that thing would be like holding a fat marker while pressing on it with your thumbs. Go ahead, try doing that, and tell me if that feels comfortable. Personally, I have tried. And it hurt. It just wasn't comfortable at all. Even as concept art, a design like that would never make it out of the board room. It just doesn't look like it would have any hope of working.

I see Peacewalker and mInis covered so far. On Minis I mostly agree, banish em. But, there are 4 of them worth it, mind you though not one are originally Minis anyway so that kind of defeats that. Pinball Fantasies and Dreams are old Amiga/DOS pinball games, the best out there for quite a long stretch on computers totally fantastic. Then there's obviously tetris, lots of modes, but also overpriced. And finally there's a very good barebones Monopoly which doesn't have all the stupid animations and wastes of time, just the dice roll more or less and it works well from what I've read. I just have the two pinball games as they're old treasures to me as I had the old DOS games back around 1994-95 initially as a buddy gave em to me and my kickass high school computer lab teacher was really a college prof and he let us put stuff on the PCs to play with if we finished our work. Pinball got a lot of play time on the clock at school towards to finish out the day.

And well Peacewalker, have it. I find it's the only other MGS game I can stomach outside of MGS: Integral as 2 was terrible, 3 I heard was no better if you hated the cruddy snap camera and capcom like wooden 'tank' controls which I do. Peacewalker I read short of the missing analog, has the same camera, controls, and fluidity of motion of MGS4, and the default control is called MGS4 no less. I think what gets me is that it's not just a straight game, you can opt to re-do missions, or do challenges, and in those you can zipline people you knock out or knock down to near death(will die if left) and use them as your new crew at your home base upping your ability to r&d or make new items for your personal use giving a light RPG element. It's quite a well made game, much like Gran Turismo, God of War, and a few others it's more of a surprise to find something that lush on the handheld.

Cool. A PSP fan thread.

Not many games on the PSP but I think it has some great portable games for it's library and pretty varied too....

Still waiting on Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Kingdom Hearts though...

me too. I'm still considering whether or not I should Pre-order VC2 for the Bonus stuff, or just wait until I clean up some of my PSP backlog. I hope they release a demo soon enough before the launch of the full game so I can still pre-order it if I like it enough...

Wait a sec. How can you not have many games, yet be varied? That's kind of contradictory. Anyway it may not have as many games as the DS, but it actually has a large amount of titles released for it. Quality wise though, it has more than the DS does when you skim out all the licensed, shovelware, etc type crap from the mix. I think the only reason one couldn't be happy with it is, they need a touch screen, need 1st party Nintendo games, love shovelware, or value most games being like $10 less.

Doubt I'll see the bonus stuff over here but I have played the Japanese demo (someone linked it to me in the SEGA Forums).

It's good for a PSP but it really shouldn't be a sequel...more like a spin-off.

@J.K: Oh sorry I mean the PSP's library is small but the games have different genres for it (although a few of them are ports).

That is the worst fake I have seen in a long time. Sony may not be the best when designing the ergonomics of their machine, but damn, they are not THAT idiotic.

So true. It looks cool but that thing looks unplayable!
