Ah yeah in comparison to DS it is small, but at least they counter it with far more unique fun stuff that isn't trashy ports, shovelware, and licensed muck. Sure there's a few but it's not like the DS where it's like 50 turds to 1 quality title. The nice thing at the least with the ports, most are handled with good care so they're fine and not hosed up like those god awful PS2 or PSP to Wii ports.

True. I do feel for the PSP...sold 50 million yet only has a library of 300.

The DS would be lucky to have 300 games that are worth playing, too.

lol Yeah true, although not every game will appeal to everyone, on the PRG side of things, the PSP has a much better deal.

Popolocrois, Lunar, Gem Saga (forget the full name, saw it highly recommended.) Not entirely rpg, more action-rpg but the Ys titles out and coming are worth a look though Ark of Nephastim(existing) is just average/dated in some ways and not good ones later into it also insane loads everywhere the newer Ys games noted publicly a lot don't have thankfully.

I keep hearing that the Lunar series is good. Any improvements over the MEGA CD?

I just hope it doesn't play like Phantasy Star...

Any improvements? No, not really. In fact, it's arguably worse than the original. But it's still Lunar, and it's still better than paying the outragous prices they charge on eBay.

Also, another good PSP RPG: Phantasy Star Portable. The sequel is good as well, but it's not out in the U.S. yet.

I know of PSP:2 through SEGA forums, it's pretty close to PSU I believe but I don't like how PSU is set up...

Noire

Persona 3 Portable...

So much awesome...

Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I prefer Phantasy Star Online myself, but PSU is still pretty good, IMO. What's great about Phantasy Star Portable is that it IS PSU, expansion included, except with an improved story mode. I don't think there's an online mode, though. I've only played it in Japanese so far, so I wouldn't know. PSP2 Is actually a pretty big improvement over the original, and it does come with an online mode for sure. And it's free!

D= I forgot about that one! That's definitely a must-play RPG! If I weren't still Knee-deep in P3:FES I'd get it in a heartbeat!

I thought so. I wonder if you can buy a Guardian's License for it just like in PSU?

Nope, you don't need a Guardian's License, but the online feature is a bit more limited anyways. It's more of an Online Co-Op. Not sure how it works yet, but I've a feeling you'd need to set up with some friends beforehand, similar to Phantasy Star Zero.

Oh right. Sounds slightly better in adjustments then.

Today. It just came out Today.

Most I got was from what I saw of the Japanese version, and it seemed pretty...impressive. I couldn't understand what the hell was going on, but it already seemed light on the quick time events and useless mini games, so it's already ten times better than KH2. Other than that, I can't say much until I play it. Which may or may not be later today.
