So the GLaDOS@Home was meant to be a sick joke on us. I probably wouldn't be so upset that my poor laptop is going to spend an hour decrypting 10 gb of data if they never promised a possible early release. It's already after midnight. It is past the mid-night launch time.
If I had the game, I would be ecstatic about getting to play it 11 hours early.

I'm done for the night. What I played of Portal 2 was pretty awesome and I'm happy to say that the game runs magnificently on my PC (all settings on high and I still maintain a wonderful framerate of 60 FPS). I'm sad to hear that Odnetnin can't run the game. Hopefully Valve will be able to do something to the game so that it has better compatibility with older computers.

This is just stupid now, sick of valve really, Street release has been broken over here, going to go and buy myself a copy, with my refund in my pocket.
It's looking like EBGames was the culprit here, not Valve (who had nothing to do with it at all), and not EA (the local distributor of the retail game).
I'm wondering if I should publish my review. It's meant to be under embargo until 7:01PM, but the game is available now, and my review is sitting there, ready to go live.
I wasn't saying I hate valve for releasing it in stores, I hate them with their whole process leading up to Portal 2. I bought it at JB Hi-Fi earlier and asked for a refund while it was still in pre-order. If my request fails, I can just sell the code that came with my PS3 version.

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Great improvement on the first game, and I'm looking forward to the Co-op campaign.
Great boss battle at the end, and the song is great (no Still Alive though.)

Just finished it. Fantastic game. Way better than the first one and much, much longer. The story was really enjoyable and the end was so satisfying. The boss battle and the parts leading up to it were fun and thrilling. The end credits song, while no Still Alive as Aviator said, is still awesome.
I'm really glad I finished single player before trying co-op. I'll work on achievements later. (Actually I achieved a couple things which weren't recorded. Must have been a Steam bug. Pretty annoying since I'll have to play through the first few test chambers just for those missed achievements. :/)
Anyone interested in doing co-op with me? I'm itching for more Portal 2 and playing the single player campaign again wouldn't satisfy me.

Both game stores near me and the local Wal-Mart are completely sold out already. The local Game Stop said they only got 6 copies in for each platform. Good planning, that.
