Safest bet for PC/Mac users is online Steam. It never sells out
But I do kinda want a 'physical' copy...
It would make re-installing much quicker But you can back up games onto a disc if you wanted.
But if you buy a game in disc form, does it not stay with your Steam account? I bought Dawn of War and it did not work on my laptop because of how severely underpowered it was to one it (I was ignorant and didn't know) but upon logging on to Steam, it still has the game there even though I returned it for a refund. I have a new computer that can surely run all except I don't have Windows running on it (yet).
You're lucky you could even return that game. Most stores don't take opened computer games. You can still install from the disc, doesn't mean it isn't still part of your Steam account.

Anyways, I never really found the thrill of the first game... I mean, the concept and ideas were great, but it just wasn't as amazing as I had heard. Perhaps the second one will change my mind a bit...

Played the first game after playing through most of the SP again, got through it in an hour, 5 mins and 6 seconds.

I forgot, where can I go to download music or whatever? Can't remember how it was done with Portal 1 before Audiosurf came out. (came with the OB soundtrack), but I like some of music in this game.

Can you use your free portal 2 copy and the PS3 copy at the same time?
I don't think you can, not at the moment anyways. You could always get someone to go on a Steam account on the PS3, while you play with them on your PC on your account.
