You don't even have to go that far - games like the Fallout, Thief (the original duo, not the godforsaken abomination of a remake), and even ZombiU are often called FPS games by some. However, each of the above all are defined better by other genres. FPS is used a bit too broadly, unfortunately.
Since I don't own a 360 wired controller, or the receiver needed to use a wireless 360 controller on PC, I've been looking into ways to use my Wii U Pro Controller on my new computer. I found few results, and they seemed a bit... sketchy, to say the least. Has anyone been able to set up a Wii U Pro Controller for their PC here, and if so, what method did you use?

There's probably a way to do it - I have an adapter that allows me to connect my Gamecube controller to my computer, and I imagine that would be even easier to do for the Pro controller. A quick search found this:
Here is a video with Time Schafer, the designer of Maniac Mansion and other adventure game greats. He's playing the sequel to Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle.
14 days of Humble Bundles. First one ends today in a little over an hour, so if you like Deep Silver you have little time left as each bundle will only be up for a day.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
@edhe So, this one lets you conquer planets? Well... MMMMaybe I'm interested. I have Civ III in my Steam Library, but I could never get around to playing it. The amount of information at throws at you can be staggering. It feels like you have to know a lot of things beforehand in order to play it properly. Maybe this one will be a little more newcomer-friendly?
Try something like Crusader Kings 2 makes Civ III look like Kirby.
“30fps Is Not a Good Artistic Decision, It's a Failure”
Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.

The Mayflash adapter Wii U Pro Controller Adapter does work problem is it use a literal mapping (Wii U - A to 360 - A etc). So you might need to mess around with Durazno. (To put the mapping back to a sensible way.)
Well yeah because there's aim assist in typical FPS. But any tournament competitive game has it turned off. Try installing a program like Keysticks that lets you control every action of your computer with a controller. It's really hard and shows how much we've come to rely on aim assist and other tweaks.
I was more so talking about playing PC competitive shooters like counter strike with a controller...its not really even possible.

I don't play multiplayer shooters at all, but honestly, I'm better with a controller than with a mouse. In fact, I find using a mouse incredibly annoying. I wouldn't mind some kind of alternative like a joystick to regularly use for my PC.
EDIT: Or maybe something like this, if the price wasn't so steep...
@WaveBoy
I might be biased, since any game even mildly frightening will terrify me, but PC horror gaming expert (A.K.A., my brother) @FuguNinja9001 gives it the big stamp of approval, so that should be saying something.
Also, does anybody else really enjoy Uplink? I've never played anything quite like it, and it's definitely not something you'd see on consoles in a million years. One of the best games ever to play on a rainy day or late at night (Or better yet, both).
I'm not a PC gamer, but.....This is one 'of the few' Survival horror PC titles that i wouldn't mind jumping into.
Does it live up the hype? Is it scarier than the Fatal Frame series? Mind you, i still haven't played any of the FF games.
If you want horror done right,
is great. I liked it much more than Amnesia. Alternatively,
Is also rather creepy, but it's more of a platform puzzler.

Scariest game I've ever played. Seriously. It's awesome. Get it. You'll probably have to turn it off more than once out of sheer emotional exhaustion.
Nintendo Switch FC: SW-2726-5961-1794 Currently Playing: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Switch)
@Emblem I'm interested in it, but is it TOO similar to Bastion? Because Bastion is $5 cheaper.
I'm really running out of ideas for my signature.
I've got the power! The Hidden Power!
I used to run on blast processing. Now I'm 64-bit.
Currently playing: ARK: Survival Evolved, Splatoon I AM STILL NEAR-PERFECT!!!
