Pandemic Studios isn't around anymore. The servers are just run by people who are huge fans of the game (which is why they seek donations to keep the online community alive). Luckily, the game has multiple servers to join, but the one I was using is a popular one. I've heard the ban is only temporary. I'll check online later in the afternoon.
^That's a relief. Sometimes bans can go a long time, even if they're temporary.
So I got a fancy new computer that can actually run things now. Thanks for everyone's help from before. I'm gonna download some game and see how well I can run it. Maybe Sins of a Solar Empire or Endless Space.
I have an epic eight-core processor. I own Ghosts and Battlefield 4 as well as 1942. I have every Half-Life game on Steam and have a terabyte of memory. I have more games, but does anyone else play Ghosts on PC? I feel alone.
My best friend is going to finish building his gaming PC in the next few weeks so I am going to start PC gaming then. I look to get my own Gaming PC by the beginning of next year!!
Civ III is the only Civ game I haven't played. I think I have it, though. Which means I have all of them....wow, when did that happen? Guess I really love my Civ. ^_^;;
Civilization: Beyond Earth Announced for this autumn.
Maybe it deserves it's own thread - I don't know. What I do know is that I will certainly be preordering it when the opportunity arises.
It's likely to be the spiritual successor to Alpha Centarui (although Firaxis no longer own the rights to the game), but I think I've actually read (via the neogaf thread) that you'll actually be able to expand to other planets! I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
@edhe So, this one lets you conquer planets? Well... MMMMaybe I'm interested. I have Civ III in my Steam Library, but I could never get around to playing it. The amount of information at throws at you can be staggering. It feels like you have to know a lot of things beforehand in order to play it properly. Maybe this one will be a little more newcomer-friendly?
I'm really running out of ideas for my signature.
I've got the power! The Hidden Power!
I used to run on blast processing. Now I'm 64-bit.
Currently playing: ARK: Survival Evolved, Splatoon I AM STILL NEAR-PERFECT!!!
I'm getting differing information from both sources present - one suggests you start on Earth, and travel to this new planet, while another source (a French website - check Neogaf post #3) suggests you can colonise several planets.
In any case, the game will resemble Civ V, as opposed to say, GalCiv ("Civilization" in space), right down to the city plopping and hex grid.
I played some Tropico 4 today. I hooked up my laptop to the living room TV, and used my wireless noise to controll it. I really like playing it that way. I also tried Orcs Must Die!2 like that, but I was using my Dualshock 4 with it. Great way to play that game too.
It works as a PC gamepad if plug the USB charging cable into the computer, and I don't know if there is a way to do wireless. I highly reccomend you try it out though.

That's fine with me and thanks for the info. I have used a wired 360 controller before but I have always liked the feel of the PS controllers though. I will have to try this out soon.

The 360 controller is far, far superior to the DS - it's definitely worth the price.
As others have said, though, if you're playing FPSs, switch to mouse/keyboard unless you just want to pad everyone else's scores.
Not sure if you are talking to me but as I stated I just like the feel of the PS controller over the 360. And I never play FPS games I am not a 12 year old with a foul mouth or a stoner living in my parents basement.

Have you actually used the Dualshock 4? While I always preferred DS, the DA4 is far suprior to the DS3.
I have, though my comment above was specially referring to the earlier iterations. The DS4 fixes a lot of the controller line's issue, but I still consider the 360 controller to be better. It has a better overall shape, better feel on the analog sticks, and the correct placement of the left analog stick. Sadly, neither Microsoft nor Sony seem to be able to create a decent D-Pad.
