MAG just got a $29.99 Greatest Hits release:)

My sister wants a PS3 now, so we're both going to chip in half. That's about four months worth of allowance for me (if we get the 160).

@slappy I was excited about dead space 2 single player to begin with, but now it seems the mutliplayer will be just as good. Deadspace was amazing i still have my copy.

yeah dead space 2 seems to be very fleshed out, which is good so hopefully the singleplayer will remain the essential focus.

No he came off as buying a 300 Euro PS3 for games that now days will cost 2 Euro but also you can get the PS1 for around 15 Euro. If he is only buying a PS3 just for PS1 games then yeah It all makes sense. (Sarcasm)

1) It's not just you who isn't playing MOVE. I don't know why people who have MOVE aren't playing it. This just shows that it was better off releasing next year when there was games to support it. And no. Updates like RE5 or Heavy Rain do not count.
2) Metacritic begs to differ. I'm not spending money on something like MOVE when it has no good games to follow it.
Maybe next year when it picks up steam but for now. My money is on the PS3 games.

Also good luck on the surgery. How come your in there?

@Sean.... I have to respectfully disagree Heavy Rain, MAG, RE5, The Fight, Sports Championships, Tumble, High Velocity Bowling, Eyepet and RUSE all right around release isnt too shabby of a start-up.

Sports Championships alone is worth the price of admission. Im actually wondering just how much time some people are putting into the game for the review as everyone says it gets boring and repetive... well, not the case, the further you get the more like actual people the AI plays and it gets really hard and you have to play better and better, pushing you to learn the sports accordingly. Its a blast and deserves much higher scores than what you are seeing out there. I would rate it no less than a 9/10 is I was a reviewer. Oh and also NOBODY seems to mention the 350+ unlockables and the game practically being made for Custom Soundtracks in there reviews. All you hear is "Its better than Wii"!

As for the surgery, Im having sinus surgery on both sides, I have a 100% blockage on both sides, been going on for a long time and finally getting it taken care of. Thanks for the encouragement, Ill be in Tuesday for surgery and Ill be down and out for about 3 days and then be off for 2 weeks to recover. Lots of game time and resting

I suppose it's not worth it if you already played those games. For example: I 100% Completed RE5 so really the MOVE controls isn't enough to bring me back. I do like the look of Sports Champions but it's simply not enough to warrant a buy from me.
What is this Sinus problem some people have if you don't mind me asking? I've heard of it but never really understood what it mean't apart from being sick of course.

Also I'm looking to buy Bioshock 2. Should I buy Bioshock 1 or just go for 2 straight away?

@ Sean... do NOT buy 2 unless you play 1. The original Bioshock is one of the best games ever and 2 takes up right after one.

As for the sinus surgery. Years of construction work causes you to breathe a lot of airborne crap and its caused my actual sinus cavities to close and have to be cut open and drained. I can breathe fine but all the pressure in my head is killing me.

After the MRI/CT scan this morning, insurance crap, headed to mri/ct results and pre-op for surgery Tuesday and THEN to buy my wife a new SUV..... I'm ready to be home play the new Laura Croft game

My wife has had it done 3 times. Third was the charm...so far.

Only person on my friends list playing Move games pretty much all the time is Hayato510 (he has a similar screen name on NLife that starts with K and has the same numbers, but I always forget what)...it seems like he bought the entire Move launch library or something, always changing games and playing ones I haven't seen ANYBODY else on my list touch.

I got to try Move at a mall near my house, and it is fairly impressive. Sadly, it showcases how bad I am at table tennis all too well. Yes, there is a downside to extremely accurate motion control: You have to actually get good at stuff. It's easier to flub through motion on the Wii.

I also tried the sword fighting, archery, and disc golf. Note I was playing 2p with my mom the whole time, and she's definitely not a "gamer." How much that matters depends on the game. I have no advantage over her in table tennis or disc golf, but I destroyed her in sword fighting and archery. We still had fun overall, and Move is still on my "to-get" list.

@ stuff... that actually is why i think you don't see higher scores. It takes skill to play and table tennis is brutal. No gimmicks will get you through it either. You got to learn the sports and if simulation isn't your thing this isn't for you (sc). Stick with Wii and its pick up and play style.

Except a used PS1 console might last a year or two, and is purely disc-based. No downloads there, no access to overseas PS1 games if you want them.

So again, even just for PS1 games, the PS3 is a fine purchase.

@Waltz... agreed. The PSone was in the very early stages of disc based systems and they didnt hold up but a year or two at best. PS3 is the best around for it, not to mention that imports are now available and more coming in the future because the cost to mod a PSone was very high.

The fact there is no region locking on downloadable games is a huge plus, too. Chocobo Racing, anyone?

My apologies, I must have mixed it up with the PS2 B/C being taken away.
When you insert a PS1 disc into the PS3, can you still use the virtual PS1 memory card the PS3's have or is it for Downloadable PS1 games only?

My copy of FFIX didn't work in my PS3... It should have.

I did end up buying it again on the PSN.

Link your psp to your ps3 and leave your psone game in your ps3 and you can access your ps3 from anywhere that has a wifi connection and play your psone games right off your ps3 on your psp

enslaved has gotten pretty positive reviews so far, which is good. Also @slap MAG 2.0 has been released and it has a TON of extra stuff to the perk system, check it out and let me know

Let me start of by saying that MAG 2.0 is INCREDIBLE. They fixed so many things its absolutely crazy, added the deepest skill tree (more than some RPGs) to the game, you can now buy and sell weapons instead of leveling, game balance, new skills, Move Support, and on and on and on. Guns feel like they are guns and kill quickly as they should now and it will be tons easier for a person new to MAG to start up, but that level of skill the game climbs too maybe even better than before with the new skills and higher level cap. So much added, so much fixed and FREE! Oh.... and they dropped the price of the by 50%
