@-wc- Yeah, like Josh! That's how Yoshi says it! https://youtu.be/c_qKid5SWlU

But I remember watching a video once that talked about how the way Mario says his own name sounds different to different people, usually depending where you're from. So Brits hear 'Marry-o' and Americans hear 'Mah-rio'. I wonder if it's a similar situation with Yoshi?

@-wc-
Here is another nicknames of PlayStation machines in Indonesia based on their numbers.
PS1 = PS Satu (Sha Too)
PS2 = PS Dua (Due Ah)
PS3 = PS Tiga (Tee Gah)
PS4 = PS Empat (Um Putt)
But we still call PSP with English pronunciation.

The wicked die alone...

My cousin in Turkey (and his friends) refers to Call of Duty as "Call of" (pronounced "Callov", like a Russian surname), rather than "COD", as it is perhaps better known in the West.

Peach also sounds very similar to "piç" (sounds like "pitch"), which means "illegitimate offspring".

@gcunit some of his name calling could've been better, I particularly hate how he says "Dr. Mario". The one I'll give him (and I wish other Announers did) is "Bowser/Koopa...Jr.".
At least is not as bad as the Spanish Announcer saying "Litel Mac".
A lot of people will criticize me, but apart from the Ultimate newcomers and the aforementioned "Litel Mac".

About Arceus.
I know in Pokémon Battle Revolution for the Wii the announcer pronounces Arceus as "ar-see-us", then the Arceus movie in Latin American Spanish pronounces its name as "ar-khe-us". When I heard that, I was like "wtf?!"
