Whatever you think, that is a list of really good games, some of them system sellers and that isn't even every notable release. I'm not necessarily arguing Vita is in trouble but I am saying 3DS will have a respectable library by the time it arrives. Regardless of what you think of Nintendo's franchises (which evolve A LOT more than people like you give them credit for) you can't deny they are still great games and will all go a long way toward improving 3DS's library.
None of which will effect the Vita in the slightest.
Ok great! My argument is more for the 3DS being strong enough to be steady even after the Vita launch. I'm not saying it will effect the god damn Vita. Christ.....
EDIT: And FYI: they may be different demographics but you really think there will be no overlap at all? They are still both game systems. When mom goes Christmas chopping and sees Vita and Uncharted for $300 and 3DS and Mario for $210, where do you think her money is going?

I don't think Sony sells to people who still have their moms shop for them.

Yes, that isn't Sony's target demographic. Are you saying there isn't one child on the planet who will own Vita. There will be an overlap! If the positions were switched and the Vita outpriced 3DS by 80 dollars, you can bet that mom will get that one instead of 3DS. Thinking there will be no overlap at all between 3DS and Vita is just plain ridiculous.
Ok fine. I'm tired of this now. I do have a question though. Why do you have a 3DS?
For free games of course. What better reason is there?
I see...you just seem to be so against Nintendo in every way possible that it kind of confused me as to why you were an owner of their latest system...
Vita will do fine. It all depends if Sony really pushes Vita more than they did PSP and finally treat it like a "handheld with console-like experience" instead of "this is a PS2 in your pocket" approach they seemed to have. Of course, the $80 price difference between Vita and 3DS is pretty steep (the orignal DS cost $50 less than PSP), it shouldn't be a huge deal. Yes, Sony may miss out on potential sales in regards to parents buying handhelds for their kids, there's still going to be a wealth of people getting a Vita- heck, even having both as I heard lots of people who wanted a 3DS will now be getting it and the Vita because they believe both consoles are priced "right".
I'm getting a Vita. Just not within the first year, at least. But it's on my radar, no doubt. And I'm more excited for it than I was for PSP.
Sony's making the same mistake they've made with the PSP with the Vita. While the price is good for what it offers potentially, it needs games. A LOT of games and a lot of games dedicated to handhelds only. Otherwise, it could become very ugly for Sony.
Well, Uncharted, Wipeout (even though it's lesser known- as most great games) and Little Big Planet are great games. Modnation Racers can be thrown out the window for all I care. Sound Shapes looks like a fun game. Sort of reminds me of Loco Roco with it's art direction. I knew most of the games they mentioned weren't ready and would not make it for release. I just knew it. If Square Enix and Capcom backs Vita up, it'll hold up. All Vita needs is Sony's continual support which the PSP lacked.
...Besides, I don't think the two handhelds are really competing against eachother. I honestly don't think most of the people attracted to the Vita really care about the games on the 3DS, and vice-versa.
Amen brother. I think there are just different demographics at work amongst the three camps. The first two are the large 3DS and Vita camps where one or the other is purchased and then the smaller third camp in which both are purchased. Maybe it'll be as cut-and-dry as a 45%/45%/10% division.
Yay people who agree with me. The 3DS doesn't have to crash and burn for the Vita to be successful. You hear that, person who told me that they're targeting the exact same demographics?
@kkslider5552000 Have you actually watched the videos of the upcoming Little Big Planet for Vita? And/Or actually played the original games on the PS3? Because if you haven't, then that is why you don't understand why it's a game that would only work for the Vita and it's shaping up to be one of the 'must have' titles for the system.
As for Uncharted on the Vita, it looks to be more of the same and your right. It does offer the first true portable online multiplayer that offers a gaming experience comparable to it's home console counterpart, and that is worth buying the system for many people, and it also features a unique touch/analogue dual control method that can be used consecutively and is very impressive, but outside of that it's more of the same - or looks to be, as we don't know too many details as of yet.
As for me: A new BioShock developed exclusively for Vita, Gravity Daze, Little Deviants, Ruin,Shinobido 2: Tales of the Ninja, Smart As, and Silent Hill: Book of Memories are the games that I'm buying a Vita for and most all of those are New IP's and exclusive for Vita. The idea that there aren't new and original games for Vita here is ludicrous!

Yes I have watched a couple of videos and I have at least watched an entire co-op playthrough of Little Big Planet 2. I'm sure I was supposed to be completely ignorant but I guess not. Oops.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I can only assume the games are high enough quality that such a seemingly uncreative sequel is at least acceptable. Kinda like how Megaman kept working on the NES. But it brings me to my first point, I want the PS3 games instead. They look like better games.
And I do hope those new IPs do well, especially Ruin and Gravity Daze.
Edit: apparently you can replace a 5 with a k for names. I did not realize this.
@kkslider You've seen the videos, but haven't actually played the game and haven't actually fooled around with the level creations and experienced the amazing online user created content correct? If I'm correct, then I'd understand why you'd not get excited about the possibilities that touch controls will bring to the game. The user created levels in LBP is what makes the game truly amazing and combined with all of Vitas control options, the limits are pushed back even further to what can be created. Oh, and the level that are already created on the PS3, they will be available to play on the Vita version as well, how is that not impressive?

Yeah, the PSP was a colossal failure, what with it outselling the 3DS in Japan and everything.

Then stop posting in the "Is the PS Vita in trouble" thread?
That's easy. It's whichever system has the loudest fans. On this forum it should be obvious which one will win.
It's a pity, because to me a system should "win" by being the best quality.
More like, whichever system has more sales. :C
What, the iPhone? Good, glad you've opened that door. Now every time you go on about how awesome Nintendo consoles are, I'm going to quote this to prove you think the iPhone is better.
I hate when people say 3DS is bad and blah blah blah, 3DS is good IN MY OPINION < notice that word OPINION, I like nintendo and I hate when people try to make me think otherwise.
