@Chrono So no reveals then? Doesn't make sense to spite NP when I mentioned reveals if GI didn't have any. @Sony You seem to misunderstand me a lot huh? I meant this issue.
Oh, and the KI reveiw WAS awful. Not because of the score. I mean, the complaints they had were fair. But I don't read a reveiw to hear about the woes and misery of a person who was uncomfortable playing a game. I read for whether it's good or not. (But the game was amazing anyway, well of course, In my opinion.)
I think Game Informers review of Kid icarus was terrible.
Again, just saying if you want Nintendo, go with Nintendo Power. Not Game Informer.
So its bad becise they didn't give it a 9-10 huh.
I just don't think they gave it what it deserved when compared to other reviewers. They gave it like, a little side page a few back from the 360 and PS3 stuff. Just seems like I see that a lot out of them. Just the way I see it though. Don't want anyone getting angry at me or anything

GameInformer reveals more per issue than Nintendo Power. Even if it's not full games, the exclusive content they announce per issue is substantial. (Even though they were the ones to reveal Epic Mickey and a surplus of other games off the top of my head.)
So you didn't like the review because the reviewer found the controls to be awful and that ultimately diminished the game for him? Try harder please.

I love it when a gamer doesn't agree with a review, rather than just say "I disagree with this review," they need to validate their own opinion by saying the review is "bad."
@Chrono Try again with the reading portion of my comment. That's not why I said the reveiw was bad. He could have said, "the controls were difficult for me.", or "I didn't enjoy the ground scheme controls." But, he didn't. And I had to read through a paragraph of his moaning; "I almost BEGGED to not be the one to review this." If the you don't like something about a game, say you thought it was bad/uncomfortable/not well implemented then move on. So, it was my OPINION that the review was awful. Big deal.
Also, about the more reveal stuff, does that mean more exclusive reveals? Because I believe I've read a GI "reveal" of a game I already knew about. Not sure though.

This I agree with. Again, their reviews are terribly written. Nintendo Power's reviews aren't much better, though, albeit for different reasons.

Controls are a big part of a video game. If the controls fail to operate correctly (especially in an instance where the player has to be precise), it not only grows frustrating but it diminishes the game's entirety. You may not think so but controls are huge deal in the video game world. Wherever that is.
Also, about the more reveal stuff, does that mean more exclusive reveals? Because I believe I've read a GI "reveal" of a game I already knew about. Not sure though.
I've never paid attention to their reveals up until this point in time. Epic Mickey was one that comes to mind as does Alien vs. Predator.
He was making it more than just a big deal, if you ask me. I just read it a little while ago, and I kept saying "I get it, you don't like the controls" and he just keeps going on. It started to feel like hyperbole after a while, which I really don't like in my reviews, as I find it hard to believe that the controls would be so bad as to require half of the review to accurately convey.
He kept bringing it up because the game had so much going for it yet the poor controls held it back from achieving such greatness. At the end of the review he admitted he wanted to see more Kid Icarus in the future just "not like this".

@Mickeymac I'm glad we agree. GI is in no way a bad magazine. But I perfer to use NP (of the two) to fill any magazine gaps that are left in my little gaming heart. @Chrono You know, that does make sense.
So why didn't he say that? I believe saying "it had so much going for it but the controls held it back" is better than a paragraph of whining.
Kid Icarus Uprising is a series of good ideas that ultimately suffer from poor controls. There's a lot to do in the game, and more importantly, I felt compelled to do all of it. As the credits rolled I looked back fondly at the experience, as my hand throbbed along with the music. I'm looking forward to doing more with Pit in the future, just not like this.
Last paragraph of the review. Which is basically what I just said.

Nintendo Power had exclusive news on a port of a GameCube game, another port of a mediocre game that is already on the system and a DLC announcement for a 3DSWare game?
Oh man I'm missing out.
Yeah you're being totally subjective here, so it's not hard to see why you think Game Informer is so much "better" than Nintendo Power.
Yes. He obviously didn't like them and gave his reasons right before admitting the game itself is great. I see where he's coming from because the controls are, indeed, awful. He's not being biased or bashing the game.
Again, not to you, but what if some people actually enjoyed those announcements? I personally thought they were great exclusives (well, I could care less about MSF, but the RCR crossover news was great for me). Game Informer may have more and "bigger" announcements, but I tend not to care about them since either I don't own the system they're for or the game doesn't interest me. So what may seem lame to you may seem awesome to me, and vice versa.
