Topic: Can Anyone Recommend Any Good PS1 & PS2 Games?

I still have my PS2 slim my parents bought it for me as a Christmas gift back when I was in high school year's ago. Been playing the PS2 at night & switch in the morning~ 🤣 Recently went to half price books (book store) & found some games in there video game section: Tiggers Honey Hunt PS1 & The Wild Thornberry's PS1 got both. 😁 As a millennial / girl. Into very kawaii, cute, girly video games. Can anyone recommend other ps1 & ps2 games that are cute / girly from back then? Would have bought the PS2 games originally when they came out back then but were pretty expensive back then at least for me. Glad I'm making good use out of my PS2 now. 😁 Before anyone says it I don't want the PS5 at least not right now content with my PS2~ 😁🤣 Thank you for taking the time to read this in advance & for any help / information on this matter~ 🤷‍♀️✌️

You might like Disney Golf, I think it's a PS2 exclusive. The Adventures of Cookies and Cream is cute too, although quite difficult unless you have someone to play co-op with.

Try Dance Dance Revolution games, Barbie games, Dora the Explorer games, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue, The Sims: Bustin' Out, Taiko no Tatsujin games.
But remember, PS2 games are region locked so pay attention with the game region and your machine region before purchase the games.
Btw, if you like RPG games, try Final Fantasy X , X-2 and XII.

Lilo & Stitch for the PlayStation 1. Maybe Kingdom Hearts I and II for the PlayStation 2.

Edit: In general Disney games might be your cup of tea. They made quite a lot during that time.

@Barbiegurl777 You'll probably like the Spyro the Dragon games on the PS1. They play sort of like Super Mario 64 in that you're exploring various 3D worlds, and you'd be collecting stuff like gems. There's some challenges/minigames to partake in as well, and they have a lot of charm too. There's three games on the PS1, and I'd say you can't go wrong with any of them. And just in case the PS1 copies get too expensive or whatever, they've been remade for newer platforms like PS4, Switch, and Steam (PC).

As for the PS2, you might like Katamari Damacy, but I've not played too much of it personally. The Switch version has a demo, that's how I played it, so maybe try that out. Sort of a random suggestion, but I loved Jak and Daxter on the PS2 - if you like games like Super Mario 64, I'd definitely recommend it. I'm not sure if you'll like Jak 2 and 3 though, those have a much darker premise and story, but the first one is more lighthearted.

I'd you haven't already, you should try the ape escape series!
It's a 3d platformer all about catching monkeys. The first game out on the ps1, with 2 and 3 coming out on ps2. The game's dual stick controls take getting used to but it's a blast!

Don't know if Sly Cooper games 1-3 count. It's some good platforming.

Alundra for PS1. It's a nice Zelda clone.

Jak & Daxter for PS2. A nice 3D platformer.

Never been a fan of dance dance revolution games. barbie I'll definitely check out, Dora the explorer maybe. Hello Kitty Roller Rescue PS2 I already looked into & can only find the European release. I have an American PS2 & know the PS2 is region locked. It's ashame because I did want to play an American version of the game if could find one but only other option is to buy a European ps2 & for me it doesn't make sense. I did try Sims on ps2 a while back & hated it back then kind of ironic because played Sims on ds, 3ds, & switch & liked the Sims on other game systems~ 🤷‍♀️🤣 I don't like final fantasy at all actually hate it tbh & have for long time. Isn't Taiko No Tatsujin on the ps2 region locked to Japanese ps2 only? Thank's anyway's honestly appreciate the thought~ 🤷‍♀️✌️

I have lilo & stitch ps1 added to my ebay cart already lol. Huge lilo & stitch fan since the movie came out in the early 2000's. My biological mom got me the VHS tape of the movie when it came out back then. One of the few nice things she did back then which surprised me.

The Tekken series is good especially Tekken 3, Soul Calibur 2, the WWE Smackdown Games are good for some multiplayer fun. Champions of Norrath if you like dungeon crawlers. For sports games there's The Bigs 2, ESPN NFL 2K5. There's also RPGs like Legend of Dragoon, Suikoden. There's also the Metal Gear series. Castlevanis Sympony of the Night is a must have for PS1. That's all that come to mind for now.

Burnout 3 Takedown and Burnout Revenge is the vest racing games that I ever played. I hightly recommend them. Okami, Persona 3, Persona 4, SMT Nocturne, Devil May Cry 3, Tekken 5 is must play too.

Well...there's little to add to those excellent recommendations, indeed.

But I love Castlevania: Lament of Innocence on PS2. I loved that one, and it is a shame is still locked on PS2/PS3 (I think it was on the PS3 Store, but I didn't make the jump to the PS4 - PS5 store). Maybe it is not your kind of game, but I leave it here just in case.

And I remember I played the Ratatouille and Wall-E game adaptations on the PS2. They were fun, at least that's the way I remember them. And I may add The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie’s Revenge.

Hm...well...you could get Spongbob: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Since the ps2 copies are still affordable. Rampage:Total Destruction, which is a personal favorite of mine.

And I suppose for game compilations...Namco Museum, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Sonic Mega Collection Plus.

I don't know anything about cute and girly but I feel like you would like Mega Man Legends(PS1, unfortunately a bit pricier), Kingdom Hearts, Odin Sphere, and Okami(all are PS2)
