Yesterday...a Dying Light Switch port was leaked.

Today, World War Z is listed at retail.

We're on a full blown zombie holiday here in Switchland, aren't we?

@mantarobuster300 @Magician I’m really curious how either these games are gonna run on Switch. Assuming they aren’t cloud based, there’s gonna need to be big compromises.

@mantarobuster300 It is curious this wasn’t revealed during E3 considering how close to release both games are. They must have been able to put a trailer together.

World War Z have been under development since april when IGN reported that Saber was porting it, so i assume that’s a native port. In regards to Dying Light the promo picture describes a physical Version, so that should be a native too.

I just wish we were getting some of the newer zombie games like Back 4 Blood or Dying Light 2 instead of old ports.
We don't even have have Zombie Army 4 on Switch, yet people are bigging up a 6 year old game like its a miracle port.

To anyone who's played both Dying Light & World War Z what is better for a single player game? What has more content, bigger world, advantages & disadvantages of each? The reviews for Dying Light are good and I trust Saber to do a good job with the World War Z port but I'm not buying both with SMTV & GTA trilogy around the corner.

@DiamondJim
is pretty self-explanatory, world war Z is created to be a multiplayer only co-op experience just like left 4 dead of valve(they are creating an update to add a single player campaign but we do not know if will be good and if will arrive later on switch) , dying light instead is manly a single player game with the plus of a co-op system (not necessary to enjoy it) and came with all DLCs (including 3 big ones witch add a lot to the game including a new map twice the size of the main game) there are more in dying light for sure, just to let you know Saber helped Techland with the dying light port too(that's why is so good) I read it on the internet

@aresius thanks - you summed it up for me then. Dying Light will be the better option.

@DiamondJim Just want to mention that you can solo play on WWZ without the need for an internet connection. You'll be teaming up with AI instead. I played a bit on the PS4 exclusively soloing and I think it is worth the money on a deep sale. But yeah based on what you described it seems that Dying Light is the game you should get.

@Octane_st1m
i did not know that(but still we need to know if is applied to the switch version maybe still need to pay for the internet menbership), but playing with an AI will never be the same, will be unbalanced the game , too hard ?

@aresius I don't think an online sub is required for solo play since I had no ps plus when I played it. I didn't have trouble clearing levels in solo but only played in easy difficulty. Also in case it gets difficult you earn exp to upgrade characters and weapons so your next run you will be more equipped to take on the missions.

You know I will keep an eye on this game and waiting for the review

My copy just landed so will fire it up later tonight after work and see what it’s all about. I own it on either Xbox or PS4/4 I forget which but like Dying Light, I own a portable version now.

the game run constantly 20fps every time an horde appear and for the whole duration of the fight it looks barely playable in those moments (i mean aiming with the weapons and moving around) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yi3JVnGxslM
I hope they will improve it some how with a patch

@aresius Think they will likely patch it. Most games receive patches nowadays either at launch or afterwards.

Patch released adding in gyro aiming among a few other things.

Immediately added to wishlist on DekuDeals for digital version. Told em no gyro, no buy yo. I'm sure they've heard it quite a bit. Glad to see they're listening.
