I already have Luigi's Mansion & Animal Crossing for nintendo switch. Thinking of getting one of these nintendo switch games for either birthday or Christmas:
Yoshi Crafted World
Paper Mario
Super Mario Bros Deluxe
Mario Ace Tennis
Mario Golf
Kirby Forgotten Land
There still going to be on my hit list to get later regardless. Just not sure which to get sooner. Thinking it'll be Yoshi's Crafted World nintendo switch because loved Yoshi's Woolly World 3DS~ 💖 Thank you in advance for any help / advice~ 😎👍
@Barbiegurl777 I know you did not mention super mario odyssey, but I have that and I do not think they did much with the franchise. I have looked at the games you mentioned up above, alot, and i think they did not do much with any of them franchises either, might try something different. Bit disappointing really.
@Barbiegurl777 Mario Odyssey is easily the best mario game. Its epic. So that's my recommendation. But if you want something from your list, I'd say Kirby and the Forgotten Land or Super Mario Bros U Deluxe.
Nope. Don't own Mario Odyssey didn't list it because don't want it. Maybe I'll do Kirby, Super Mario Bros Deluxe or Yoshi's Crafted World. It depends which will be the cheapest lol. I like the mario sports games in the past on 3ds felt they were challenging at least for me.
@Barbiegurl777 Out of the ones you've listed, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, as well as Kirby and the Forgotten Land, are the best ones I think. Yoshi's Crafted World is decent from what I played, but I'm not a fan of its soundtrack. Have you thought of getting Super Mario 3D World? It's such a fantastic game, plus it came out on Switch last year, which has online multiplayer (though it's only with people on your friend list) and it includes Bowser's Fury, as well.
Also, just curious, how come you don't want Super Mario Odyssey?

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@Barbiegurl777 If you liked Wooly World then I'd probably prioritise Crafted World if I were you. As for my own personal suggestion, I'd pick up Kirby Forgotten Land if you want a relaxing yet still very fun 3D platformer and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe if you have an option for multiplayer.
Other than that though, would highly second @MarioBrickLayer in getting Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle: great humour, a highly accessible entry into the tactics genre and almost always goes for about $20 max these days

I agree with
1: Yoshi's Crafted World
2: Kirby Forgotten Land
I would add Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Top down'ish like Animal Crossing, puzzly like Luigi's Mansion and very polished and "Nintendo" like both of them. Aside from some occasional framedrops it's perfection.
@Barbiegurl777 If you want 2D games which are a bit harder than Super Mario Bros Deluxe, there is Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Metroid Dread. Both are excellent, but a little bit harder than the other games on your list.
Amongst that list, I'd say Kirby & the Forgotten Land is the best, followed by Paper Mario: the Origami King. New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is a good shout too though, especially if you want a nice, no frills Mario experience.
Since you said you don't own it, may I ask why you have no interest in Super Mario Odyssey? It's easily better than anything on your list other than maybe Kirby.
EDIT: I should mention that I also had fun with Mario Golf: Super Rush, but I wouldn't choose it over anything else in your list other than maybe Tennis Aces (which I haven't played).
@Barbiegurl777
Of that list I'd say Kirby and The Forgotten Land.
I know you didn't list it, so I'm guessing like Mario Odyssey you might not be interested, but Super Mario 3D World is also fantastic. Not overly difficult but tons of content, great fun either alone or playing with other people and mixes in some elements of the 2D games with how it's constructed. The added on Bower's Fury content is also enjoyable and an interesting preview of what a future Mario game could be like.
I might have mis judged Mario Odyssey a little to quickly just watched some game play on YouTube & realize there are actual levels to it. Was thinking from seeing a different trailer it was just running around a town lol.
Yes I have considered it. I might get it around Easter personally with the bunny rabbits in it~ 😉🤣 That & I have alot of other games on my hit list to still get so kind of putting it on the back burner for a little bit. 🤷♀️
In all fairness it depends which game I can get the cheapest temporarily speaking. 🤷♀️✌️
@Barbiegurl777 OK gotcha. If you liked games like Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, you're gonna have a great time with Super Mario Odyssey. It's a top-tier Switch game for sure.

Yeah I liked Banjo & Kazooie had the game when the N64 came out originally. That & Donkey Kong 64 at the time. Rented Super Mario 64 back when BlockBuster store was still around. Couldn't get into the game found it to be a very confusing Mario game... 🤦♀️🤷♀️✌️
Yes. I played the first Super Mario Maker on 3DS. It was OK but not wasting the money on the Nintendo Switch version mainly because I didn't really get alot out of the 3ds version... 🤷♀️✌️
