Didn’t one of the Digital Foundry guys say a little while back that it’s highly likely what we are hearing about the new Switch is in fact 2 different systems (one a genuine successor and the other a small mid lifecycle upgrade) that either sources or journalists are getting confused and effectively merging together as one? I need to dig out when and who it was that said it.

I believe the info is getting confused between the new revision (7” OLED, slightly more powerful with 4k output via upscaling) and the next generation model (true 4k image via DLSS, brand new architecture, massive die shrink, etc) but that’s just my personal opinion. I could be wrong, and this new revision gets announced and actually has DLSS. I don’t think that’s the case but I won’t write it off as a possibility.
What people have to understand is, the recent Bloomberg article from Mochizuki was reporting speculation from analysts. All that information was analysists speculating what they think will happen based on what they’ve heard. But a lot of analysts hear the same rumors we hear and get that information confused also. So I’m personally not putting any stock into the most recent article because I draw a clear line in the sand between that, and reporting on an actual business deal for OLED screens.
GameXplain Monster Hunter Rise Review was done by two people- one veteran and one complete noob who had never played the series before. If you have never played MH, or just tried the demo and didn’t understand what you were doing, I think this review will be educational. Get the perspective of someone who’s brand new and never played a game in the series before, and was intimidated, fearing they wouldn’t be able to get it...

Can’t wait for next week on Nintendo Life. How many articles per day you think they’ll be able to come up with about 3D Mario All Stars being delisted? And how many days afterwards you think they’ll continue to squeeze them easy clicks out of the whole thing?

@jump I know, it's almost like Nintendo are going out of their way to never ever make this public knowledge. Thank God we have Nintendo Life dropping this one of a kind article with inside information.

@FragRed Just so I understand this right, Nintendo are going to send their muscle out to go to everyone's house and smash up either the game catridge or if it was from the eshop just smash their Switch up? That's so wrong!
@jump Did you not read the terms and conditions before buying the game? It's listed quite clearly in ultra tiny print on the inside of the box, somewhere.
I believe @rallydefault knows more about how they go about destroying all evidence - he does after all know the ninjas personally.

If you're a Nintendo fan, you've already bought all the games being delisted on the 31st. Mario 35th, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. It's only unfortunate for late adopters of the platform. I think their being delisted is ridiculous but it's classic "Nintendo being Nintendo."
Nintendo doing things such as this shouldn't be a surprise for anyone familiar with the company.

@Magician My point was more that it doesn't matter if someone downloaded it or not before the end of the month it still won't be playable either way lol
Ah, I see. Although it makes me wonder about the physical release for Fire Emblem. Will those download codes be honored past the the 31st? I assume they will be, but you know what they say about assumptions.

Not only that, everyone knows how tight lipped Nintendo is. 3D All*Stars could be slated for rebranding (stripping the anniversary label) and re-release this summer for all we know.
@TheJGG Oh they have about the discontinuation, I agree. I meant tight-lipped about future plans, like whether they would rebrand and re-release the compilation.
