@Therad If anything says "we've taken interactive animated graphics as far as we viably can", it's this wave of loading times buzz.
Now we need AI to take over and start making our games for us.
Once they've rinsed the loading times marketing for as much as they can (which is probably not very much) it'll probably be sexy latency next for the 'too soon' streaming services.
Bethesda's conference let me down. Looks like their support of the Switch has ended considering Elder Scrolls Blades, Doom Eternal, and Elder Scrolls Legends were already announced at last year's E3. No Prey port? No Fallout 3 or Fallout 4 port? No Dishonored port? Disappointing.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
This is what I thought would happen, 3rd parties see next gen and then stop supporting Switch. Thanks to the Microsoft conference, we now know that next gen will start holiday 2020 at the latest (Xbox Scarlett launches holiday 2020, though PS5 could be earlier).

Yeah, streaming will be pushed big next gen. I also think it might get quite big, despite all rumblings. Why buy a new fifa every year when you can just start playing the latest the same second it is released? Not every game is latency sensitive. Anything turnbased or slower paced like jrpgs, fire emblem, civ, sims etc, wouldn't suffer much from latency.
And we have heard the same thing about latency when it came to wireless controllers and mice. People adjusted, they will this time again. Devs will also become better at creating games where it is more hidden, in the same way shooters on consoles have auto-aiming and are slower paced than their older siblings on PC were.
the big problem will be preservation, you can't preserve a game that you don't have access to. And they can remove games anytime they want. Want to play dark souls again? Too bad, we only have the dark souls remastered and it is locked behind our premium sub for $40/month.

All the streaming will be both a blessing and a curse for Nintendo. Nintendo will get more games, but fewer titles to sell.
While I can see the bigger western third parties going missing on Switch now, that will leave a bigger market for the mid-tier stuff and Japanese.
Sure, but as soon as their streaming services are up, I don't see a reason they won't put them on switch. The porting cost will be miniscule and getting subs will be the most important thing.
Streaming is so far off from becoming viable to the majority of gamers that I'm not gonna spend the next two generations worrying about it overtaking physical/digital. Once I have internet fast enough though, would be fun to try out for games I don't really care to actually own.
The idea is to cover half (or quarter) of the d-pad’s contacts with scotch and then use a small, folded piece of scotch to slightly rise it. After that, I haven’t had a single issue and I’m playing Hollow Knight now with no bad imputs.
When opening up the Pro, just be careful with the ribbon cable. That was the hardest part in all the fix, in my opinion.
Thanks! I was kinda screwed (pun intended), since one of the screws in the handgrip was too tight and I couldn't get it loose. Eventually it wore down. I decided to force it open. Good news is that I've been able to apply the fix successfully. I put the handgrip back on with tape for now; I'll try to fix it with a larger screw and a ring later. I don't care that it looks broken now, since it actually functions better. Reminds me that I fixed it myself I've played a few hours of NSMBU and it's actually playable with the d-pad now!
@toiletduck
I'm glad it worked out! Enjoy NSMBU with a working Pro Controller.
Once you fix that detail, it reaches the Wii U Pro Controller's levels of godliness.
@Luna_110 yeah I can imagine! I may try some of the NES games again, now that I seem to have a proper d-pad. I'm gonna try the fix on my 8bitdo too later this week, once the torque precision screwdrivers I ordered arrive. Thanks again.
Gods and Monsters, from the creator of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, is confirmed coming to Switch (as well as that Roller Blade game Ubisoft announced according to the leaks, but the fact it exists confirms the leak is true and that it’s coming)
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
Gods and Monsters saved the show for me. Although If Watchdogs delivers I'm going to create my army of gun toting grannies.
Are people really comparing Gods and monsters to BOTW? It looks like somebody hit AC:Odyssey with a Pixar hammer. Like As soon as I saw the PC I was like "Kassandra! Cheire!"

^yeah I don't see it. It looks like AC or rather the Elysium dlc. But Ubisoft has already refuted the BOTW comparisons.
