What a lot of people seem to forget is that more power doesnāt just mean pretty graphics.
A game can run better, AI is smarter, the game world can be more āaliveā, less loading screens, bigger worlds, more things can take place at the same time... .
I mean, you say this, but again, most of the publishers making top tier graphics games don't care too much, outside of maybe as a way to market the game. My brother actually has the 360 version of Shadow of Mordor, which AFAIK is a somewhat butchered version thanks to differences in the nemesis system. So even THE game to showcase what next-gen can do for the enemies you fight...was still put on last gen. In the same way that Doom is on Switch but is 30 FPS.

@YummyHappyPills Most of those make sense, thereās a lot of stuff on sale right now, but how the heck did Vs Super Mario Bros get from 11th to 5thš
Just a geek that likes video games, and spends to much time playing Smash Bros. and Fortnite.

@TheTetrisGuy It's Nintendo fans craving classic games. As the weeks go on with no news on VC or even Nintendo's paid online service, people who don't own Vs. Super Mario Bros become more tempted by it.
Just finished Resident Evil Revelations 1. I actually really liked it, and I only disliked a few things. Mainly the dodging system and how the game began reusing a lot of stuff near the end. When you're forced to continue through the same areas, fighting stronger and stronger versions of the same enemies with a notable limitation on ammo and healing. It was a good ResEv game.
Kinda quiet til DKC drops 2 weeks from next Friday. I'm looking forward to doing a full playthrough as Funky Kong (infinite rolling/underwater spins, double jump and decent fluttering are gonna make for some ridiculously fun time trial runs, but they will need to segregate time trials using Funky from the normal ones, or just not allow them on the leaderboards, ideally have a separate board for Funky runs though).
In the meantime, think I'ma check out Southpark a week from Tuesday, and Naruto Shippuden Trilogy 2 days later. Neither are games I am super excited about or anything, but they'll be good for passing the time for a week or two. And I'm genuinely curious to try them and see how good they are.
Gonna skip LABO though. I might grab a few sets down the line when they're discounted or something, just to check it out. Hitting the pavement hard in May though. DKC, One Piece, Hyrule Warriors, Little Nightmares, Mega Man Collection 1/2, Dark Souls, Street Fighter Collection and rounding off with BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle a few days into June, right before e3. A lot of that's gonna end up being "play for one night, then temporarily backlog it". Cause I need to get DKC knocked out before Dark Souls Remastered. I'm planning to thoroughly get into that game like I do Monster Hunter, with my bro coaching me and helping with summons as needed. Summer is gonna be legit though. Mario Tennis Aces looks like the best Mario sports game... possibly ever. Okami HD with motion and touch is gonna be one to remember. Octopath Traveller is gonna be my summer RPG (along with Y's VIII) and Captain Toad a good pick up and play game at work. Crash for when I want to torture myself and relive the frustrating addiction of Uncharted 4. I think I played Crash in Uncharted more than I actually played Uncharted lol.

I am really confused about the Sega Mega Drive Mini. I know it's not exactly Nintendo related, but I thought people were saying it's not by AtGames, yet this tweet says it is, or at least is using the same "new" technology.
I will just wait for the Mega Drive Collection to release on the PS4.

@JaxonH By the way, I'm kind of curious about how hard will it be if I decide to jump to the CRPG genre with PoE 2 on Switch- I never played any of them before, and do you think it has connection with the first one?
(kind of got interested after watching Tower of Time, seems an interesting genre to go into, to be honest )
Asked you since I remember you talked about the genre and the game excitedly ^^
Since I beat Xenogears a few days ago, I've been getting back into Shovel Knight. And I'm liking it a lot more after getting all sorts of upgrades. Yeah, it's a good game. Perfect game for handheld play, especially with the Joy-Con D-Pad it feels really good.
Still think Cave Story is my go-to indie game though.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
@1UP_MARIO@Farmboy74@TheTetrisGuy@Anti-Matter thanks guys. Hundred of hours of Zelda, Mario, MK8, among plenty of other games gone forever. Gonna be tough to go back to the first 2. Was close to 800 moonsš
@darkfenrir
I haven't played the first. But I'm sure Pillars of Eternity 2 is fine on its own. It has to be since that's the one they're releasing on Switch.
I'm jumping in without knowing much just like you are. The genre seems to be built around PC platform but, more and more is moving over to consoles.
I think the games are moderately complex. Nothing you can't understand, just a lot of stats and classes and status effects and the like. You learn as you go. I think you'll be fine. After learning Xenoblade X and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate from scratch... no games really intimidate me anymore. Except maybe Dark Souls, but even that I've played before and started getting pretty far into the game, catching on, and will be swan diving in May 24th when the remaster drops on Switch.
