Between Splatoon 2, DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, and Gal Gun 2, it seems like gyro controls are being widely adopted for shooters on the system. Very cool. It's a lot more convenient than pure dual analog.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
This feels like redemption for me. All the hypocritical hardcore gamers playing increasingly subpar post-MW FPS, pretending to be hardcore while playing fairly casual FPS games with worse controls than mouse and keyboard yet still trying to be as smug as the worst of PC gamers. If you weren't paying attention, you have no idea how bad the anti-casual, anti-Wii crowd got, even beyond just trolls or Xbox fanboys, that intentionally disregarded any hardcore games on it because HOW COULD GAME WITH PRIMARY COLURS BE MOAR HARDCORE DEN M RATE SHOOTEY!!111!!11! It was awful.
And a big part of my disappointment is that there were many good to great FPS and the like that Wii U could've gotten if it had been the success Nintendo hoped it would be. Like when Ken Levine was talking up the console, I was so ready for Bioshock Infinite with motion controls. The skyhook sections with motion control shooting still sounds unbelievably awesome and immersive. But for the most part, it never happened. Also, weirdly I'm one of the only people who didn't get into Red Steel 2, which made me so sad since it's control scheme is great.
But now Switch can get nearly every game at this rate, so finally it's happened. I don't have a Switch at this time, and while the FPS downgrades are disappointing, I'm so pumped to get Doom on it when I do. I mean, I do still partially wish it was pointer controls, but beggars can't be choosers.
Gosh... 🙄
Anyway, let's talk about more Cute games for Nintendo Switch.
Summer will be very great season to play Cute games such as Yonder The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, Little Dragon Cafe, Mario Tennis Aces, Re:Legend (hopefully confirmed soon for date release).
I just read about NIS and the president (think it's the president?) basically said Nintendo games were outselling the PS4 versions 2:1 both physically and digitally, at least for titles released at the same time.
Also talked about Sony only caring about larger Japanese companies but Nintendo has been great. They worked out some deal for physical SNK Heroines on Switch (for those who don't know, SNK Heroines is only getting a retail release on Switch).
Kinda surprised me, but that's proof enough the 3rd party sales are finally here to sustain lasting support.

GameXplain uploaded a gameplay video of Shaq Fu A Legend Reborn on the Switch. It doesn't look as bad as I was expecting, though still the question remains "Why?"

It look me a while to get used to gyro aiming but, after playing quite a bit of Splatoon 2 in recent months, going back to non-gyro just feels clunky and imprecise! I've recently dipped back in to No Man's Sky on PS4 - which allows you to fine-tune the dual stick aiming by selecting from 100 different degrees of sensitivity - but no amount of tweaking can compensate for the lack of gyro ..the sooner Sony (etc) jump on board with gyro aiming, the better as far as I'm concerned - PS4 players don't know what they're missing!

Lol I like that the game has humor. Without it I'm not sure how appealing it would be. Huh... I may have to keep an eye out for reviews at the very least

"I think this year when we look at the slate of titles, many of which haven’t been announced yet, this year looks also very, very strong. So I think, at least, for 2018, we’ll continue to see the strong software slate drive additional installed base on the hardware and increase attach rate. We don’t have really visibility for 2019 yet, but for 2018 it should play out that way.”
Not sure how much to trust from gamestop's words, but it seems there seems to be more titles in store still. I hope E3 will shed light to majority of them at least!
@darkfenrir We know that he will have a very good knowledge about what games are coming out over the next few months for all consoles, so I expect he knows whether there is a lot to be announced. However, he also needs to stay positive no matter the situation to keep shareholders happy.

@FragRed Yeap, so I guess the amount is good enough... but the content is what we need to be wary of xD
Hopefully it'll be another strong year though! Next year still need to keep momentum going too, I hope >-< Although with the games I'm aiming I'm happy enough with Switch (just need to reach the release date haha)
@darkfenrir I assume Nintendo aren’t just going to have Super Smash Bros for their holiday season. At least I hope there’s more to the holiday like up as Smash Bros is not something that really interests me.

@Octane I was thinking end of October or start of December and leaving November for third party like last year.
@darkfenrir There will definitely be some RPG games, that’s a given. They always sell well on Nintendo platforms and at least one will be Fire Emblem as that’s still coming this year at some point.

It can be interpreted in a few ways:
1. E3 has lots of surprises.
2. Labo has more than 2 kits being released this year and Gamestop think Labo is going to be a massive success.
3. Games like Fire Emblem Switch count as "not announced" because we know virtually nothing about it.
Fire Emblem while good, never hooked me because of the TRPG system (I always suck on those). Will see though! So far this year will be good for me with Octopath, Shining Resonance, Okami and TWEWY. (I know 1 is multi plat and another is late port, but still good ones to play on Switch nonetheless)
(I'm still on the fence for Ys8, Valkyria Chronicles 4)
