And that's why i LOST my respect with Sony since PS3 era, NEVER consider Xbox machines as a choice. Both of them are Blegh for me in my honest opinion.

I have to buy PS4 with my 9 choosen games (Still rated Everyone until Teen) next week just for The Sims 4 PS4 by Majorly.
Actually i don't want to buy PS4, but i have no choice. The Sims 4 was Very convincing me to buy the console version. Ah, Damn you Sony ! If only EA want to release The Sims 4 for Switch...

@8-Bit_Superman I recall a post that listed the games by percentage. And the amount of ''family friendly'' games, up to 12+, outnumber the amount of 16+ and 18+ games on PS4 and Xbox. Video game stores often display the games that sell the best, or let's be honest, the games that are heavily promoted (because I'm of the opinion that you can sell anything as long as you know how to market it), and those include the annual shooters and Assassin's Creeds. I'm also certain there's a correlation between age rating, realistic graphics, higher budget, better promotion and likeliness to get a physical release.

But i found those rated 16+ & 18+ was Too much than Kid friendly games. Even for rated Everyone games on Both PS4 & Xbox 1 were LESS Appealing than Nintendo has (Too much Realistic racing, too much soccer, too much basketball, too much Uninteresting looking kids games).
I even CAN'T find so many titles that really appealing from PS4. I always ended up by Find Almost Nothing and Frowning my faces everytime i browse the PS4 games library from playasia with Strictly filter rated Everyone & Everyone 10+ or PEGI 3 / 7 / 12 or CERO A / B.
@8-Bit_Superman Yeah, the bulk of Nintendo's important, first-party titles are not violent, Mature-rated games, and that's a big deal for someone like me. Even watching people play violent video games makes me feel nauseous.
Nevertheless, I have had every Sony console PS2 and on and haven't really felt like it was a waste. There's still plenty to like. Like PS2 I found the Kingdom Hearts series, along with anime games and the like that I found entertaining. I feel like what is primarily advertised at conferences like E3 I have no interest in, but there's still plenty for me to like. I really think during the bulk of the Wii's lifespan, I played the PS2 more than the Wii.
Learn to separate a company from a product. I'm not a big Sony fan, but I still buy their products. Tons of people probably aren't big Nintendo fans, but they're all buying Switches because it delivers the goods.
Should never feel emotional about buying a plastic video game machine... nomatter who makes it.

@8-Bit_Superman@Octane less than 23%of games on the PS4 are M rated (246 out of 1101) if you can't find games you like that are T rated or below from a pool of 855, that's a problem with you and your taste, not the available selection.

No they aren't. Most of the biggest most anticipated ps4 exclusives since launch actually have NOT been M rated.
These are just some of them:
Horizon, Uncharted 4, Everybody's Golf, Ratchet and Clank, LBP3, Gran Turismo Sport, Last Guardian, Street Fighter V, Shadow of the Colossus, Infamous games, recently released Ni No Kuni 2, I could go on but I think you get the point. Whether those appeal to you or not is largely besides the point but the are there. To be fair though outside of Spider-Man the next round of "big games" are largely M rated

@Anti-Matter Do you have a computer you could get The Sims 4 on instead of buying a PS4 just to play it?
Unfortunately, my PC is Not designed for playing PC games. Just only for working or drawing or browsing internet.
Used to be ever play The Sims 3 (But with pirated copies before i changed my mind completely after i bought my First Original 3DS XL for the first time on November 2013) but i don't play PC games anymore (My PC has ever broken several times and made me think to quit from PC gaming since i have no desire / passion anymore in PC gaming)
Also, Indonesia is NOT a country to sell Original copies of PC games. I found Almost All shops sell Pirated Copies PC games 99.99%. And i don't like Digital download or Steam games since i'm a collector, don't want video games without Physical things. I don't care with cheaper price from Dogital download. Beside, playing PC games is consuming more electricity than playing on consoles or Handhelds.
I play other PS4 games also, not just only The Sims 4. I have Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2. 5 HD, Final Fantasy X/ X-2 HD, Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, World of Final Fantasy. I also have 4 Indies in Physical such as Portal Knights, Overcooked, Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles, Earthlock : Festival of Magic, BUT those 4 games also available on Nintendo Switch, so i "Eliminate" them from my collection (Eliminate means i will not play the PS4 version anymore, but i still keep it as for display, not being played anymore). If i buy PS4 just only for 1 game Only, it just wasting my money. At least, there are 5 PS4 games that still remain in my playing list before i will heard if those 5 PS4 games get the Nintendo Switch version (And i can Gleefully eliminate completely my PS4 machine and all my ps4 games).

You had (at least) 3 PS2 machines to play all Japanese, USA and Europe PS2 games ?

my point was more that I can at least give PC gamers some slack in their elitism since it needs some effort, buying a ps4 doesn't require much effort. Although PC gaming is also pretty low effort nowadays. when I was young...
Fair point but still, just because you can get into the weeds with PC gaming doesn't mean people do. It's definitely less of an effort now than it was back when component selection really mattered. You can basically walk into a shop, as for a "gaming PC" and you'll walk out with something that does the job. I don't think that guy has put any more effort into it than the PS4 guy has. But even so I think that guy can still brag given that, by default, a PC is a more "prosumer" setup.
Just like how as a Switch owner we can brag about our console being portable.
