@Grumblevolcano No clue. Something else to consider, though, is that Monolith Soft promised New Game+ For XC2 this month. Considering the month is drawing to a close, what are they waiting for?

Just downloaded Celeste. Also, how come Japan gets so many visual novels and we've yet to get one? I tend to check Japanese eShop every Thursday as well and they got a game called The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya. It reminds me of Hakuoki which I enjoyed on 3DS. At least the game has been released in English on Steam so I'd guess it's coming here sooner or later. Seems like they are also getting a game called Aokana: Four Rhythm Across the Blue at the end of March. Wikipedia lists its genre as eroge so that's not quite what I'm looking for. But I want at least some kind of visual novel to play on my Switch.

Yeah in terms of first-party games, there's nothing that screams "YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME" material like Mario or Zelda to me, but maybe that's not entirely a bad thing. You don't need to sell a console based off one game, sell a console based off multiple games. Multiple games you want to play is just as easily a system seller as that one big blockbuster game.

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

@MFD New Game+ was promised for 2018, not January 2018 so the only content for this month in XC2 is the DLC quests and items given in the recent update. I think New Game+ will come around the release of the story DLC.

@Grumblevolcano Huh, I heard people say it was this month. In that case, I guess that's it for a while.

I see that sentiment echoed a lot right now, with the Switch having more games then it did during launch. That said, I hope there's more exclusive or console exclusive stuff. I just can't warrant buying a multiplat that's also on PC.

@NaviAndMii FighterZ is pretty big I think. I'm not into that type of game, but I've seen a lot of people be excited for it. It's not the next GTA, but definitely noteworthy.

@Grumblevolcano @MFD I certainly recall reading something like that. Why would a Ubisoft employee be allowed to hype something up on Twitter? He/she'd be fired by now. And whatever it was, he/she said it would be revealed within the 'coming days', and that was ten days ago. So either they were talking about Labo, or they were making stuff up.

Grumblevolcano

Microsoft does have one massive thing that's not too far off, namely MCC being fixed. Apparently there's news on that front coming this month. If it does work out well, that will give XB1 a large boost unless they decide to port it to PC.

Grumblevolcano

TuVictus

I can't wait for Bayonetta next month since I'm one of the few that has yet to play it on any platform.

Other than that, Kirby has my attention on the Switch front. Hopefully we get a date for Octopath Traveler soon, cuz that looks like it'll be an amazing first SE RPG for me on the Switch

TuVictus

@Grumblevolcano Isn't this the... like eighth time they announced a patch was going to fix everything? I'm not saying it won't work, but I'm not holding my breath either.

link3710

MFD

@Octane If it was Labo, how would that relate to Ubisoft though? Unless it has a connection to that Atlas game... but they've never said anything about that, have they?

Ralizah

Oh man, the Mana collection being localized would be YUGE!

Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)

Grumblevolcano

@link3710 343 did state last year that the XB1 OS was a big part of the problem before. That has largely improved since the last MCC patch which if I recall correctly was in fall 2015.

Grumblevolcano

darkfenrir

Does that Mana Collection have Legend of Mana? Because if so then I'm reaaaaaaaaally hyped!

darkfenrir

TuVictus

I've heard amazing things about SoM, so the remake has had my eye. If it can be played on Switch, I'd be very happy

TuVictus

NaviAndMii

@Octane Oh sure ..and, y'know, if @Fight_Teza_Fight has seen plenty that he likes (on PS4 at least) who am I to argue? ..they're just not hitting the spot for me just yet (..and I so wanted to like MH World too! ..it looks gorgeous! ..but having watched a few video reviews, I can just tell that it wouldn't be for me, unfortunately )

Personally though, I'm still waiting for a game (on any platform) to really grab me and say 'welcome to 2018!' ..I doubt it'll be too long before something does, but I sort of feel like we're kind of stuck in limbo at the moment! (..for the types of game that'd interest me anyway)
