@Grumblevolcano One man's trash is another man's treasure after all.
Personally I quite enjoy what I played of Call of Duty multiplayer while at university. C4 only, tomahawks only, one shot one kill, all good fun and very high tension.
I believe Treyarch is the next CoD developer up to bat, and they are the ones who did the Wii ports of all the CoD games I believe. Maybe they are working on a Switch port of whatever is next from them?

I think 3DS seems most likely for the ALBW style game, it's an easy way to continue supporting 3DS. Sure it'll annoy Switch owners but anything coming to 3DS and not Switch seems to annoy Switch owners.
anything period not coming to switch annoys them lol.
Nippon Ichi Software's president Souhei Niikawa has announced that Disgaea 5 Complete has sold 200,000 copies worldwide for Nintendo Switch, and as their 25th anniversary looms, reiterates their support for the Switch as a primary system (alongside the PS4), targeting the system with new IPs and sequels. https://www.inside-games.jp/article/2018/01/01/111976.html
NIS America will be holding a press event on 9th February. No doubt there'll be details of release dates for Penny-Punching Princess and Fallen Legion, and perhaps if Your Four Knight Princesses Training Story is heading to the west...
I just want a 2D Zelda on Switch at some point. This news is probably NOT for a surprise Between Worlds Switch release, but if it is, I'd be VERY happy. I'd prefer a brand-new 2D entry, obviously, but this would tide me over.
Edit: But also, dang - like others have said, a "surprise! here's another Zelda game for the Switch" announcement would be one heck of a way for Nintendo to enter 2018, even if it is a port.
What I'd want the most for Switch that's related to 3DS is a Kid Icarus Uprising port and/or sequel. While the original game is absolutely fantastic, it would be even better on a console whose controller has 2 control sticks.
Well I guess Nintendo sorta answered my request for green joycons. They flipped the colors for the NA splatoon standalone joycons vs the JPN standalone ones. ....Only thing is i have to buy two and then off load the pink ones.

@Dev Well... two things pop out of that picture - the word FE i.e. that EA game; and the word 'Steam', obviously denoting that a Steam app is incomi... OMFG STEAM APP FOR SWITCH CONFIRMED!!1!
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
"Hello. We here at Nintendo appreciate our fans. We have heard what you want, and in this Direct we aim to please you with some great games incoming." The sound of Smash appears
"Our first highlight is here." Smash Bros Melee is revealed as the first game on the Gamecube Switch catalogue
For real, though. The Virtual Console name can be upgraded to a new name. I don't exactly know what, but if these games have edits to allow local or online multiplayer, the name needs to reflect that these aren't just straight ports.
Yeah, since the way the camera is positioned it says "New FE", I think they're teasing the new Fire Emblem more than Fe (not that the latter won't feature, but still).

When's the last time we got 2 new Zelda games on the same system back to back the year after? Not since the CDi days, which is a poor example at best. So really, the NES was the last time.
And we're not talking spinoffs or remakes, but real, actual, new Zelda games (which is what this would be, not some remake or remaster or spinoff)
That's why it's too soon. Because they never release new Zelda games back to back the very next year on the same exact system. They do release a lot of Zelda games, but they are either remakes/remasters or spinoffs, or they'll be on a different system the following year. If this supposed new Zelda game is truly like Link Between Worlds, then it's a new reimagined game, not a remake. And historical precedent all but proves it would not be for Switch. It would be 3DS.

@JaxonH If it was a port of ALBW that wouldn't be a new game...
Anyway, look at this. May be fake.
It shows an internet browser, Cloud Storage, Theme Shop, Folders, ability to organise games on the menu, a media folder for apps like Twitch, a Virtual Console folder, and most excitingly the ability to receive and send messages, set up rooms for games with voice chat via the system, and the ability to switch rooms between your smart device and the console, instead of limiting it to one or the other.
