While we're all aboard the 'speculation train', I just wanted to throw this out there...
I believe that Kimishima-san recently stated that Nintendo are going to be targeting 'broader demographics' with the Switch in 2018...and if there's one game series that successfully does exactly that, it's Animal Crossing. Based on that (possible mis-translation/throwaway statement) - and that alone - I'm feeling pretty confident that we'll be seeing AC: Switch at some point this year!
@MarcelRguez I'm sure that whoever it was at Nintendo that insisted that every Switch should have an IR camera built in to it will want to find a way - any way - to justify its inclusion...so you could well be right!
@NaviAndMii There are some neat things you could do with distance/shape sensing.
In a more traditional game sense it's a little harder due to where it is on the controller and it can't be mandatory as the Pro Controller lacks the feature. It would only be a feature of split Joy-Con play and maybe Grip.

Games I would like to see mentioned but don’t think they will be are;
Football Manager - Sega released a version of this on the Vita a few years back, could the Switch get a version?
Vanquish - I think I read reports of Platinum remastering this game for PC again will Platinum consider this for the Switch or like Bayonetta will Nintendo fund a sequel?
Mass Effect trilogy - had tons of fun with Mass Effect 2 on the PS3, could EA port the whole trilogy to Switch?
Transistor and Bastion both made by SuperGiant games, with both games available on PS4 & iPad and Bastion on Vita good quality indie games.
X-Com - Mario and Rabids paved the way, lets have a full X-com experience where I can name my soldiers and mourn their passing at my tactical ineptitude!!, Don’t know if X-Com 2 is possible, but again X-Com did get a Vita port.

Nintendo Switch eShop UK Charts - January 5th 2018
1: Rocket League 2: Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition 3: Arcade Archives: VS. Super Mario Bros. 4: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 5: Stardew Valley 6: Super Mario Odyssey 7: 1-2 Switch 8: Overcooked: Special Edition 9: Sonic Mania 10: Enter The Gungeon 11: FIFA 18 12: Steamworld Dig 2 13: Splatoon 2 14: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle 15: Snipperclips: Cut It Out Together!
So interesting to see no sales in there. Also interesting to see FIFA 18 higher than it was when it was on sale, and climbing. Splatoon 2 has re-entered as has Snipperclips. 1-2 Switch is also fairly high all things considered.

@DarthNocturnal he's talking out his ass... we got Zelda on launch 9 months ago last year.... Nintendo wants to deliver, they won't think twice about cashing in on a 2d Zelda on switch.
I think 3DS seems most likely for the ALBW style game, it's an easy way to continue supporting 3DS. Sure it'll annoy Switch owners but anything coming to 3DS and not Switch seems to annoy Switch owners.
@Inertiacreep Zelda is as bad as the Super Mario series with releases now.
Honestly after a huge game like BOTW a smaller, more condensed adventure is probably not a bad idea.
And I mean looking at the list, since 2013 we have had 8 releases for Zelda. A lot of those were ports admittedly and very welcome ones at that. I don't know where he got his stats from on "Too Soon".
@GrumbleVolcano Anything going anywhere and not to Switch annoy Switch owners...
@YummyHappyPills Steamworld Dig 2 was on sale up until yesterday.
There's a new game appeared on the Eshop called Vesta. Looks pretty good. Can't find any reviews for it so I'm assuming it's a new game. It was announced for PS4 in December.
@YummyHappyPills Just saying there are more possibilities than another Zelda game. Just in case anyone gets their hopes up, expects a Zelda game and it turns out to be a Legends of Mana remake.
@YummyHappyPills I'd say that's less of a case with big 3rd party games. Yes there are people who are annoyed the big games like CoD, Destiny, Madden, etc. aren't on Switch but there's also plenty of people who think the Switch is better without them.
