Apparently Nintendo PR is asking outlets about requoting reviews for A Link Between Worlds.

My immediate guess is a new camapaign promoting the 2DS XL with lots of Selects games.

My other guess is hello HD version...

I only say it's most likely the latter because the 3DS has had lots of sizzle reels promoting Selects games, heck the main 2DS XL had has loads of games highlighted, ALBW included.

These are quotes specifically for ALBW. Something with that game specifically is going on.

Ohh the salt if there's another top down Zelda game coming to the 3DS.

@DarthNocturnal They already did a limited edition 3DS Xl when the game launched in 2013.

I'm starting to think that "3DS Link's Awakening sequel-remake" is "Link Between Worlds from 3DS sequel-remake"

An HD Link Between Worlds would be superb. I've never played the game. Maybe a 2D Zelda remaster and a brand new 2D Mario is what we'll get this year. I'd be well happy with that. Too soon or good timing?

@YummyHappyPills All those sites have one thing in common, they just regurgitate what the other is publishing, each trying to outdo their ever more salacious articles. Some of the Forbes commentators/articles are downright atrocious.

Eh I wouldn’t get too hyped about ALBW. It’s probably for Nintendo Selects I bet.

@WebHead Here's the thing, they didn't do that for the EU Selects release, nor have they had to to feature it in the sizzle reel ads.

And it's ALBW specifically, no mention of any other games.

It's such a peculiar circumstance. I mean it's just as likely it's for an ad or sizzle reel to really push how good the game is, or something else.

Nothing sells a remaster like "Look how good it was before"

Just to speculate, wasn't there a team that was looking of hire for another "legend" or something from the Zelda remake devs? Would certainly fit into the new game rumors

....you don't think they are remastering another Zelda game for Switch?

I suspect we will get a 2D Zelda on switch at some point so yeah it’s possible.

While we're all aboard the 'speculation train', I just wanted to throw this out there...

I believe that Kimishima-san recently stated that Nintendo are going to be targeting 'broader demographics' with the Switch in 2018...and if there's one game series that successfully does exactly that, it's Animal Crossing. Based on that (possible mis-translation/throwaway statement) - and that alone - I'm feeling pretty confident that we'll be seeing AC: Switch at some point this year!

@MarcelRguez I'm sure that whoever it was at Nintendo that insisted that every Switch should have an IR camera built in to it will want to find a way - any way - to justify its inclusion...so you could well be right!

@NaviAndMii There are some neat things you could do with distance/shape sensing.

In a more traditional game sense it's a little harder due to where it is on the controller and it can't be mandatory as the Pro Controller lacks the feature. It would only be a feature of split Joy-Con play and maybe Grip.

I never got to finish ALBW on 3DS, so I wouldn't mind a Switch port, I think...

@Operative2-0 @YummyHappyPills Legend of Legacy 2, Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy Legends something. Too many possible candidates to rule anything out.

@Octane As I always say, there are equal chances it is, and isnt what we think. No point speculating until we get confirmation.

At the same time, people chastise me for saying that and not doing some speculation. Cant please everyone I guess.

No way it's a Switch port. We just got a huge Zelda. They're not gonna release another one on Switch so soon.

Whatever it is, it'll be 3DS. Unfortunately.
