Basically, any modern SD card above read speed of 60mbps is adequate. My 400gb Switch card is a SanDisk Ultra, as are both 200gb in my 3DS units. Havent had any issues. Samsung makes a solid 256gb card too. Just don't pay more for the higher class cards. U1 class 10 is the most Switch can take advantage of anyways.

That seems kinda high though. The going price has typically been $40 although I've noticed prices jumped to $44-45 lately. But that's the most you should pay, and that's also USD. I would think it should be less in pounds.

Amazon had a deal recently with 256gb cards for $100, 200gb cards for $63 and 128gb cards for $32. Just to give you an idea of great sale prices

Things are actually cheaper for you guys, the Switch included. And dont even ask how many dollars we pay for the iPhone X. Its £1000 by the way for the base model.

What's average working wages there, or I guess minimum wage would also be a good comparison.

Here min wage is $7.25/hr, of course you'd have to be a teenager working at McDonald's to actually make that. Most unskilled labor jobs where I live start at $10-13.

Granted, sales tax in the US ranges from 0% if you live in Montana or one of the other 4 states which do not collect sales tax, all the way up to 9.98% if you live in Louisiana. I think most states are somewhere in between. For example here in Watertown, Wisconsin it's 5.55% sales tax. So basically $5.50 per $100 spent.

@JaxonH Nintendo Switch costs $366 for us. And its cheaper even in Canada, because £280 in Canadian dollars is $467.

Importing a Switch to the UK is legit cheaper for us

@DarthNocturnal But i still can't see why they put it on Xbox. Knowing damn well games flop on that platform. Hell even exclusives flop,well exclusives that aren't Halo and Gears.

@MsJubilee Probably minimal effort required for porting.

@MegaTen Mario Odyssey, for as polished and incredible as it looks and possibly also plays (I've seen streams) is not my type of genre and I doubt I'd enjoy it as much. I'm hard pressed to give an actual favourite, between Zelda, FE:W and Mario + Rabbids. Maybe Xenoblade 2 will change things, maybe not, we'll see.

Too early to say because Xenoblade Chronicles 2 isn't out yet :^]

I adored BotW and Odyssey is also awesome though. At first I thought that Odyssey would be my GotY right from the January Switch presentation. But man, this year is full of surprises. Not only did Metroid get revived from the grave hard, but BotW was super incredibly fun (even as not that big of a Zelda fan) and I only recently got into both Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and X this year that got me SO INCREDIBLY hyped for XC2.

And if XC2 is as good as both XC1 and XCX, that will be yet another GotY candidate. Sure, platformers are my favorite genre, but I also love RPGs, and I can't wait for XC2 to blow my mind away.

Splatoon 2 is also excellent, but I've also played the heck out of the first game so going into 2 isn't that big of a leap.

Haven't tried ARMS yet but it seems like a cool game. Hope it develops more into a more fleshed-out IP.

Fire Emblem Warriors and Splatoon 2 for sure.

I don't know, I don't watch games stuff on YouTube very much. I've done more recently as it's something I can do while feeding a 2-month-old but that's the first video of his that I've seen. I thought it was right on the money though.

The first 20 hours of Breath of the Wild were probably my favorite, before the game started getting kind of stale. As a whole, I'd say Odyssey.

Seriously fella, stop moaning about ports. Even ignoring that you don't have a Switch, even ignoring your constant moans about no VC (those ports are OK apparently), complaining about ports from systems that you refuse to buy is ludicrous. To you, if you had a Switch, they are new games.

Sonic Forces is now showing up in the coming soon section of the UK eshop with a price of £34.99 and file size of 6.6GB. In comparison, the XB1 file size is 18.53GB so the 30fps may have been a result of keeping the file size below 8GB.
