€330 on a next gen machine for mobile trash like this? What is the Switch? A dumping ground for garbage? Someone needs to "clean" this mess up. Curve make some good games but this doesn't look like one of them.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I played that game at PAX East, it's actually incredibly fun and addictive. I'll agree the trailer didn't show off it's strengths though, but it's really a gameplay oriented game, not that fun to watch. Luckily, they are adding a wide variety of games to the Switch, something for everyone.

Somebody is really getting on my nerves lately and they usually don't!

Take a break then. It seems like all you do lately is bash the Switch and whatever games it gets. I get it, you want the best for Nintendo and it's not happening the way you want it to but this is what it is. Nintendo from this point on will always be treated second or third best. I've excepted it. Nintendo also seems to be ok with it as long as they can make the games they want the way they want.

@IceClimbers I really hope that trend continues. It honestly could be GOTY. I don't know if it will with Zelda getting such good reviews, though.

I predict the Game Awards GotY won't be a Nintendo game (e.g. Horizon Zero Dawn).

@Grumblevolcano Horizon Zero Dawn has no chance. If a non-Nintendo game is going to win GOTY at the Game Awards, it's going to be PUBG. That game is a massive phenomenon. It's sold over 15 million copies in the 6 or 7 months it's been available, has over 2 million concurrent players, is pretty consistently at the top of Twitch, and has essentially put a new genre on the map (there's been battle royale games in the past, but nothing to the level of success of PUBG). It's going to influence multiplayer shooters for years.

The only thing that will keep PUBG out of the running is that it's still technically in early access, which could make it ineligible.

@IceClimbers Translate PUBG for us none in the know lol. Plus how can a game sell over 15 million copies as an early access?

@Spoony_Tech PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, for those not in the know, is basically a 1v100 multiplayer shooter on Steam. Early Access sales on Steam still count as sales, as once the game gets out of that Early Access, players still have access to it.
While I haven't played it myself, I certainly have seen how popular it has become.

@DarkRula It's fun. Kinda overrated, but I definitely like it more than basically every other shooter other than Splatoon 2.

Kinda waiting for it to make its way to the Xbox, even though I know the superior version is on PC, simply because I don't really use my laptop for gaming any more. Occasional GTAV and Sonic Generations, and that's about it.

Yeah, I was thinking PUBG wouldn't be eligible as it's still in early access. If it does end up being eligible then no doubt will it win. The Nintendo games that lost in previous years are why I don't think something like BotW or Super Mario Odyssey will win.
