I so plan on getting WWE 2k18 day one but looking at recent videos gameplay just doesn't look fun. Doesn't have the feel of the older games. But I'm locked in.
I love the Switch, but I regret to admit that I don't use it very often. Part of the reason is because there haven't been very many big games released for it yet that interest me, while my 3DS still sees regular use, especially with more games for it coming out in September. Partly also because I honestly don't like the boot up process with the Switch. It's long and tedious, and I especially don't like having to hold down the power button to shut it down. But if I don't use it, then it's just going to drain even while in sleep mode.
The 3DS did it better. The power button was just a simple press and the process was quick and easy. I wish the Switch was more like that.
Obviously I just need to get more games for it. That'll change in time.
@Reginald
The Switch is even easier than 3DS, you just have to use it as intended, and I know that is difficult for people who have trained themselves to think a device absolutely has to be turned off all the way. But the Switch wasn't designed to be turned off and on, and I actually think they specifically avoided letting people turn it off remotely so that people wouldn't do it, so they would actually just use the sleep mode and realize how amazing it is to just instantly sleep/wake at any time. Unlike the 3DS the Switch goes into total hibernation when it's asleep- you could leave it in a case for a week and it would still have 98% when you play it.

And I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you because I take my switch with me every single day since I've had the thing at launch.
I have gone several days leaving my switch in my case and you can confirm this with just about anybody online. You could leave switch in Sleep mode for a week and I imagine it would still be over 90%. Some official reviews say 2% per 8 hrs. I'm pretty sure I've gotten better than that but we can go with that just for the sake of argument.
If you're having issues it could be a battery problem.

@JaxonH There's a possibility it's the battery percentage being wrong. I remember one time recently switching the Switch off completely at around 15% and when I switched it on several hours later it was at 50% (I wasn't charging it).
@Grumblevolcano
I've heard of this issue... ya that's not normal. I think Nintendo put up some quasi half solution on their web page. Says the latest update addresses it, but further steps may be needed before it starts accurately reflecting the battery life...
1. Ensure the console has the latest system update. The steps below apply to system menu version 3.0.1 or higher.
1. Set the Auto-Sleep mode to "Never" for "Playing on Console Screen" and for "Connected to TV."
3. Connect the AC adapter directly to the console until the battery is fully charged.
If the battery charge indicator does not reach 100%, simply allow the console to charge for approximately three hours.
The console can be in use while it is charging.
4. Once the battery is fully charged, leave the console alone for one hour with the AC adapter still connected to it.
5. Afterward, disconnect the AC adapter and allow the console to display the HOME Menu for approximately three to four hours.
The remaining battery life must be depleted as much as possible.
6. Once the battery charge is almost depleted, power off the console by holding down the POWER Button for three seconds, then select "Power Options" > "Turn Off." Leave the console alone for at least 30 minutes.
7. Repeat steps 2 - 6 several times.
The battery charge indicator will improve gradually by repeating this process several times.
It seems worth a shot. Can just plug in til charged, then unplug and set to never sleep on full brightness so it drains. And just cycle through a few times.

@Grumblevolcano I totally agree, my Switch drains when in sleep mode and not being charged. I also don't get to use it as often as I would like right now so am noticing the draining of the battery.

@JaxonH Already working on that, don't you worry besides, for someone who uses it 100% docked, I've no reason to leave it idle for battery purposes or any some such, I've time aplenty to wait for it to start back up, and power back down. Also, every little bit counts.
It's 2017, guys. You shouldn't be totally shutting off any electronic entertainment device: Xbox, PS, Switch, Cable Box, PC, god-dang BluRay players. They all have varying sleep modes and such instead of turning entirely off. In fact, some devices DO NOT turn entirely off unless you unplug them from the wall.
Get with the times. Seriously. And the battery drain on the Switch in sleep mode? I must've gotten a different model - it's miniscule.
@rallydefault Energy drain is energy drain. What reason would one have for letting your console sit there, consuming energy and reducing it's life-span, when the time for it to start up hardly matters
