@Octane So I was playing Crash.

Press the button. Give it a few seconds. Menu appears. You still ckntrol the game at this stage probably for recording reasons.

Pick screenshot. Give it a moment. Saves. And taking video is even worse.

Given a choice id quite like the faster press and its saved rather than the whole menu overlay while the game keeps going thing.

Set screenshot to a press, video start to a hold. Simple. No need for the menu.

It baffles me why there are steps and waiting times in something a system with far less space to do so using the same base OS does instantly.

Itll probably be improved honestly or at least I hope it is. As right now the ahare function isnt as good as it could be on PS4.

In fact everyone i went to uni with did. Huh. Didnt think of that. Apparently its just easier minus screen sharing and video capabilities being missing.

Is the app bad? Cant say havent used it yet. Do most ganers use other means anyway? Yes.

@BLP_Software Are you sure it's a PS4? Like I said, all you need to do is press the share button and a little prompt appears in the top right corner letting you know you've taken a screenshot. If you want to upload the image (which you can do at any time), go to your gallery; upload it to a USB stick or upload the image directly to Facebook or Twitter.

I'm not sure what menu you are talking about...

@BLP_Software @JaxonH Huh? You just press the the share button for a second then a icon will appear indicating you took a screenshot. Its ONE button? How can that be cumbersome??

@Octane @diwdiws Definitelyba PS4. I dont get a prompt. I press the button and it hangs, loads a menu and says save screenshot.

You dont just press a button and get a prompt. At times it can take a fair bit for the menu to pop up.

As you can see. Tap the button. Menu.

@diwdiws Oh. Well no one said that did they? I judt press the button and there you go. I figured that was the full extent of the functionality given there was no indication otherwise.

Ill keep it in mind. Thanks for the info. Now to work out why it takes 20 minutes for a screenshot to show up on my Twitter feed from PS4 when its instant from any other device. Think there is some throttling in my connection.

@BLP_Software you can also change the share button setting to easy screenshot mode so that:
-one tap will take a screenshot,
-two taps record video
-and long press to open the menu.

Its in the share settings

@diwdiws Ah. The settings menus. What a labyrinth. I just go in there to turn HDCP off so i can record games.

But thanks for the info. The PS4 is full of little niceties like that. And some not so nice i admit but atill. Good to know its not as terribad.

@BLP_Software Well, diwdiws already explained it. Also my games just pause when you open the share menu. Uncharted 4 does it at least, I just tested it.

@Octane Crash didnt at one point which was weird. Like really weird. It did that time though.

@JaxonH I imagine VC for Splatoon really translates to RM and TC. TW and SZ are really self explanatory in goals and there's little to coordinate. I'm not a chat person myself, but just observing, I'd think that's where it matters more to the competitively minded. Argh, I can't believe I'm going to miss out on this game by one darned week. T-Mo, EffU!

@Maxz LOL, well, it's an improvement from COD, at least when random 12 year olds are screaming obscenities at you you think they're saying nice things because you don't know any better I suspect ともこwould just say a pleasant "Please Understand" and hit the mute button.

The Splatoon 2 Pro controller is definitely a lot better looking than the original Pro controller IMO. Almost makes me wish I had waited to buy one. Guess I'll just have to wait until I actually need another Pro controller, assuming that ever happens. Skip to 4:18 to see them side by side.

@Octane There's no functional difference. One is just Splatoon 2 themed.

For me, the difference would be that the new one won't have gunked-up buttons from spilling soda all over it lol

But alas, I don't make much money, so this neon-handled bundle of joy will have to wait.

At least we don't have to pay yet with Nintendo's app. A good 6 months should give them plenty of time to iron out the kinks.

Do you guys think it would be too late to pre-order Splatoon 2 from Wal-Mart? I have no experience with pre-ordering, so I figured I'd ask.

Also, is it a "walk in the store and pick it up" based thing, or is it shipped to you?
