@Vee_Flames I feel like they are just trolling. (not that I would turn down W102)

@KirbyTheVampire I'd say just go for it, have like 6 Wii U ports a year. The Wii U's problem wasn't the software itself but rather the order in which the software was released. If say the Wii U's launch was Splatoon and Super Mario Maker, we'd probably not even know what the Switch is at this point in time.
@Grumblevolcano I would be okay with that, provided those ports don't replace new games. It depends how willing Nintendo is to stray from this 1 big game per month schedule.
W101 was ok... but it was one of those games that went on just a couple stages too long, for my taste. Eh, the more I think about it, I'd prefer them to not waste any effort trying to get that on the Switch. Focus on Bayonetta, for sure.
I've said a few times how much stock there here in Australia. However I went to get a Switch with Mario Kart for my sister yesterday. No Mario Kart in stock anywhere and had to get the grey sku. No controllers on the shelf. Apparently the store I went to had 20 consoles at the start of the week, they were down to 5 yesterday.

I asked the guy in the shop I bought it from if they had sold much and he replied "many, many, very popular".I forgot to ask if it was mostly foreigners buying,I imagine it will be.Some of the Thai's I speak to haven't even heard of Mario.
I'm so glad I bought MK8D,it looks incredible.Playing with the Pro Controller on the TV just feels better than on Wii U and the graphics are noticeably better. On the handheld though it looks unbelievably good.
I played 3 player Fast RMX yesterday and Mario Kart 8 after that. I don't have MK8 myself since I have it on a Wii U so I didn't remember how slowpaced it is and since we had 3 players, it was also 30 fps. We seriously thought the game was lagging at first. The whole game was "in slow motion". And this was just Subsonic to 150cc. I wonder what it's like to start with fastest setting in Fast RMX and then play 50cc.

Anyone down for a Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Switch port.
No. I didn't like it. Which is weird, since I absolutely loved dkc on SNES and even got all badges in the Wii version. It is something with the presentation that is off.
@antster1983 Nice, heard a lot of good things about it (and loved the classics like Monkey Island etc by him) but for some reason not picked it up yet. Will wait for this version then so I can take it on the go.

I'd 100% agree and maybe even go a step further by saying it wasn't necessarily even the order of software releases but the timing of the software releases more generally. Which sounds similar but is a little different.
If it had been possible to shift the Wii U launch and everything subsequently released on it forwards by 6-12 months then it might have been a different story.
The marketing would still have been a complete disaster and the first party line-up would still be lacking a few big genres but they'd have had enough time to put together a compelling package for customers and to build up a significant install base before the launch of the PS4 and XBox One.
Instead of it being immediately obvious that the Wii U was dead in the water and it was just a matter of time before the PS4 and XBox One both overtook Wii U lifetime sales there would have been a clear marketplace and an incentive for third parties to continue supporting for longer the vast 360/PS3 market alongside a viable Wii U marketplace.
