@ZeHpHyR Never mind, I decided to take the risk and find out myself.
For anyone else who was worried about this, after I migrated my account I found Fortuna items in my foundry still, they were just called some weird developer placeholder name. I don't know how this will work for standing, but items at least are okay.

Played about an hour last night (handheld). Seems good, but lots to take in! I'll try and watch a couple of the videos posted and will also add some of the friend codes from the posts in this topic (assuming the game pairs you up with friends if online?)

Do people play this with voice chat? Never tried it on any game...

Pro tip #1 from a player with 3k+ hours.

You're given 50 platinum for free and another X amount (I forgot how much) from the starter pack. I recommend you use that free premium currency on slots for either weapons and/or frames. Play Warframe like you would Pokémon, "you gotta catch'em all." And having a varied roster of frames makes certain mission types easier to accomplish. Loki for stealth, Frost for defense, Saryn for mobile defense, etc.

Pro tip #2.

Your first objective should be to play and complete every node on the star chart. Completing nodes will open that node up to possibly offing an alert mission. Alert missions offer better rewards than your standard mission. Including potatoes, which is an item used to super-power weapons and frames (depending on if it's a gold or blue potato).

Came here to mention that. Your inventory space is very limited despite being a loot-shooter, so definitely focus on putting what free plat you get towards your various inventory slots. In fact, those are the only things you really have to pay for one way or another that isn't cosmetic, as far as I know.

I'm sorry if this was asked and answered already, but has anyone experienced an issue of friends not being listed as online even though you know they are? Bf and I live together and both of our switches listed us as offline, yet we could send messages to each other.

But other than that, the game is really fun! I'm not far in, but it's clear the developers put alot of love into the game. Also, it's just plain satisfying to play

@MischiefMaker I haven’t been able to pair up with my Switch friends in game— I had to add everyone by username once we all had it downloaded. really weird

@ZeHpHyR I read that you can switch your PC progress over to the Switch, but that if you do that, the one account becomes two separate accounts on two different devices and they won’t progress with each other. I can’t remember the reason though, i’ll try to find the article.

@Yorumi Cool, thanks. Did another couple of missions tonight, still not really sure what's what but the gameplay itself seems fluid and fun. Was kinda wierd playing with another random person and not really being sure about etiquette... get loads of loot or leave for them? Stick close or do my own thing?

I'm sure I'll get use to it. I don't generally have loads of gaming time so will see if it is worth playing in relatively short burts or quite infrequently.

Took a break from Pokémon and Civilization VI today and played some Warframe. I was surprised how fluid it felt. Turning with that motion blur effect just felt amazing. It plays really well, and it looks pretty good too, especially on the handheld screen.

By default the motion was turned way too low so I had to crank it up near the max to get a proper response, and turn off aim assist since it fudges the motion aiming. Once I got everything sorted out in the settings though it was fantastic.

Next time I'll have to play in a group with some others online.

Can't wait for Digital Foundry's analysis on this masterpiece of a port.

Good... good
Now play Dragon Quest

Welp, fun game but I'm not going to play it since I can't get multiplayer with my SO to work anymore. It worked once or twice a couple of days ago but since then it's just been listing both of us as offline. Tried lots of different things like port forwarding. But of course playing with random works fine, where they just run through the level as fast as humanly possible.

Apparently this has been an issue for quite a while across platforms and they still haven't fixed it. No clue why, or how, but yeah. It's fun, but it seems they won't keep me as a player as long as playing with other people is an issue.

Excellent game, incredible port. I’m absolutely certain that Panic Button is involved in some sort of dark sorcery.

@Yorumi Thanks for the advice again. Played a bit more again today and starting to get the hang of things a bit more. Took some time to look around the different things on my ship, looked up mods and modded all my stuff. Now working towards the requirements to open the path to venus. Good stuff!

I'm playing now. Got through the initial mission run and... now what?
I know to get through the star chart and farm l33t, but what weapons should I choose to wield once my initial ones max out?
Are weapons level locked?
Or is it whatever I want?

@Mordridakon

Aside from the limitation of having to farm the materials for weapon blueprints, weapons are unlocked by increasing your MR (mastery rank).

Here’s a decent list of promo codes that can be redeemed in-game. A few no longer work, but the majority do. They’re mostly profile glyphs, with a few items as well.
