Anyone played Abzu? Sorry if I shouldn't ask but its on offer now and looks decent enough

A game I recommend is Riptide Renegade GP, got it for I think under a £1 and im not sure about online functionality but the career mode is well worth it

@Marcalous I've played a bit of it on PS4. It's lovely and meditative, but a bit samey as far as video games go. I'd recommend it if you're okay with the pace of "walking simulators". Although I'm not sure if the Switch port holds up.

There are some great NES-style action games on Switch that are absolutely excellent:

Panzer Paladin, Oniken, Odallus, Battle Princess Madelyn (Royal Edition), Shovel Knight, and Blazing Chrome.

These are all five-star games which are better than the games that inspired them! Oniken is better than Strider, Shovel Knight is better than Duck Tales, Blazing Chrome is better than Contra, Battle Princess Madelyn is better than Ghosts 'n' Goblins, Panzer Paladin is better than Shatterhand, and Odallus is better than Castlevania. There, I said it!

I'm now looking forward to Cyber Shadow, which looks like it will be better than Ninja Gaiden!

@NintendoByNature I played about 2 hours of Guacamelee, and it's great. I really dig that it's a metroidvania but kind of a brawler too, that's something I haven't played before. And the art style is a nice change of pace, really sets it apart from other games in the genre. Thanks for the heads-up.

@Losermagnet nice dude. Just wait til you get more abilities. It really ups the ante. Let me know you progress.
@faint i regularly see the 2nd on sale. You should check it out next time. Better than 1 imo

@ToadBrigade hahaha dont praise me too much. I actually didn't manage the 4th pantheon till now, there is this empowered version of that one shade guy. Some of the fights there are really fun, but this one just straight up murdered me and it takes like half an hour to get there again so i couldn't do it. So basically i marked the game as finished for me for now, i totally agree with that pantheon being overly time consuming... I don't mind individual bosses but this gets really tedious after some time. I can recommend the overall game and the bosses are all great fun though! This became my personal Dark souls after i couldn't really get in that franchise for some reason

What do you guys think about FAST RMX and Shovel Knight Showdown?

I fired up my copy of Valthirian Arc for the first time and I have to admit...I'm pleasantly surprised. This is a game where it feels like something more than the sum of its parts. Nothing about the game feels amazing. Presentation? 6/10 Performance? 6/10 Gameplay? 6/10

But if I were to score it I'd feel inclined to give it a 7/10, a hidden gem-like score.

You're the principal of a school that trains people to be heroes. The gameplay comes in two parts. The first part is sim-lite, you decide the build progression of the school and its stundents. The second part is action/rpg-lite, you control your students in combat to complete missions. Neither the sim aspect nor the action/rpg aspect are particularly challenging. But everything looks and performs well enough to really be quite entertaining.

On the Murican eShop the game is currently discounted down to $5.09.

@jdrocks89

Fast RMX is the closest thing to Wipeout or F-Zero (futuristic hover ship racing) available on Switch, it's really good.

@Anti-Matter

I don't pay any particular attention to where a game is made.

If the game's quality then I'll give it a whirl.

@Magician
For your information, there are at least 2 or 3 games on both PS4 and Switch made by Indonesian peoples. 🇮🇩😀
Valthirian Arc, Ghost Parade, this i don't really remember the title.

It's very rare to see indie games from my country can Go International and distributed on PlayStation and Nintendo machines.

Btw, i'm from Indonesia.

I've been playing a lot of Darkest Dungeon and Hollow Knight lately and I've realized that I really enjoy games that feature elements of horror, but aren't strictly horror games. Does anybody have any recommendations for games like that? I'm not even concerned about the genre of game.

Hi people new to the forum and new to everything switch,after spending some time looking at the switch and what it delivers I can honestly say I'm quite impressed and kind of get the impression Nintendo have delivered the kind of portable gaming that Sony could only dream about,I was quite shocked at how many games that have come from console or pc have been ported onto this machine and makes me really wish to get one.

But I'm kind of worried about what is attracting me to the switch as it appears I'm less bothered about native games delivered specifically for the switch but more into the games that have been ported and remastered that have came from other consoles or pc gaming and I'm worried am I being attracted to the switch for all the wrong reasons.

I have made the switch from console gaming to pc gaming and as a consequence I can't find it it me to go back to console gaming,but as so many of my loved games are already on the switch and the fact it offers that portable gaming experience both consoles like Xbox and playstation can't really provide me or pc,I'm really drawn to purchase a switch just for the ports it already has available .

So as I have explained why the switch is attracting me would it be a good choice for me to purchase one and do you guys think Nintendo will be able to still attract more gaming developers from the major consoles and pc to share their creations on this platform.

Thx to anyone who takes the time to read this thread,it's the first one I have put on her.

Take care all

@simon121simon This sounds like a question that only Nintendo's chief of the PR department, @JaxonH, can answer
