Well, Marvel Cosmic Invasion and Pipestrello and the Cursed Yoyo are both legit. Fired up both demo's and had a blast. I wasn't expecting MCI to be quite as polished as it is, and the level of depth, as expected, smashes 93' Arcade X-Men all the way back to the stone age, ahem, as much as i love my early 90's stone age.

If anything, some of the voice acting in MCI was a bit amateur. Other than that, no complaints! Pipestrello? Wasn't expecting to like this one either after checking out the trailer, but I'm hooked. It's almost like a combination of Zelda, meets StarTropics and maybe Blaster Master. It felt unique enough to feel like it's own thing thanks to the upgradable Yoyo mechanic and fun diverse ways you can use it.

Anyone have some good feedback on either starship troopers ultimate bug war or Under the Island? Looking for a nice little experience to hold me over until yoshi comes out. Both are on sale at the moment and cast n chill didn’t do it for me

Does anyone know if it's a good idea to buy the original Final Fantasy VII for the switch in the big 2026? I've heard good things about the game, and I love a good story with good characters, but I don't know how much it holds up gameplay wise.

Trying to decide between Ruffy and the Riverside and Guns of Fury

Suggestions anyone?

OK, I'm thinking of getting a game from the eShop. I'm thinking of getting either Meetup in Bellabel Park (the upgrade pack for Super Mario Bros. Wonder), Mina the Hollower, or Pokemon FireRed. Which one should I go for?

In the case of Meetup in Bellabel Park, I was thinking that the Captain Toad challenges would hold me over for a good while, and that Nintendo Life's review of it may have been a little too harsh. (Plus I love Mario games!) The only thing that kind of concerns me is how active the online player base is for some of the attractions. I liked the demo for Mina the Hollower, and I was considering Pokemon FireRed partially because I used to have Pokemon Red for the Game Boy, but I no longer have it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

@D-Star92 Those are all very different genres 😆

FireRed is simply the same game it used to be so it is 100% about how strong your nostalgia is for the game.

I don't believe Bellabel has online matchmaking with random people so I don't think it matters how active the playerbase is — either you have friends who want to play with you on the new multiplayer stuff or you don't. I haven't gotten Bellabel personally... I'm not a huge fan of random DLC in most games and although I love Wonder, it didn't feel like the DLC had quite enough content to grab me.

Mina the Hollower is the best rated game of the year so if you liked the demo I would suggest getting the game eventually, although it is also more likely to go on an eventual good sale than the above 2 so if you are in no hurry to play waiting for a better price is always an option.

@D-Star92 personally I love Bellabell Park! The additions are super fun, and if you've got friends with it, the minivan's are a good time too.

@FishyS Yeah, most of Bellabel Park seems to be multiplayer-focused. I did see you can use GameShare via GameChat to play any of the attractions with friends online, including the local multiplayer ones. But I'm not sure how often I'll use GameChat with friends, so I'll give the upgrade pack some more thought. I'd definitely play the Captain Toad challenges, though.

Think I'm more leaning towards Mina the Hollower, at least for now. Thank you for your help! ❤️

@CaleBoi25 Good to hear you enjoy it... I'd imagine the multiplayer stuff would be fun for sure. I do really like how you can use GameShare with GameChat to play online, just don't know how much I'll use GameChat with others. Giving you my thanks, as well!

I’d probably go Mina from that list, especially if the demo already worked for you.

FireRed is great, but it’s also very much still FireRed. That can be exactly what you want if the nostalgia is the point, but mechanically it won’t surprise you much. Bellabel Park sounds a bit more dependent on how often you’ll actually use the multiplayer side, and if you’re already unsure about GameChat then I’d be wary of buying it for the idea of using it later.

Mina feels like the one you’d be choosing for the game in front of you, rather than the memory or the hypothetical.

Is A short Hike & Lapin for Nintendo switch good? Came across them while searching other games online. They look interesting. Going to look in the eshop later for a deeper dive on both then watching some game play of both on YouTube. 🤷‍♀️ Just got several games in the eshop so won't be able to get these 2 until July but at least plenty of time to catch up on natsumon & finish Sparkle Nurse Diary 2 Nintendo switch (japanese Nintendo switch game).

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

@Barbiegurl777 I have never heard of Lapin but Short Hike is a very cozy and slightly emotional 3D platformer. It's quite good.

@FishyS

I found both at random while searching online for other games. There both in the American eshop. The video for a short hike looks similar to Natsu Mon in gameplay. Also is Natsu Mon supposed to be a short game because I DL'd it at the beginning of May & have it pretty much 90% finished except for tracking down some fish & bugs & even that pretty much complete. Love the scenery in it. Feels like I'm in japan~ 🤣 Climbing the castle to the top on the outside & inside was fun too~ 🤣🤙

Happy Gaming! (^_^)
