Topic: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The following link features a lot of cool screenshots from the game. Hyrule Castle sort of reminds me of Anor Londo. It also seems like the Castle is actually a dungeon, based on the fact it has a 3D map. So that's surprising considering the original theory of there only being 4 Dungeons within the 4 Colossal Machines.

Yeah, just ducked in to say I'm officially donezo in this thread until I finally 100% complete Breath of the Wild sometime in mid-March. Spoilers are crazy and I have a Switch + Breath + Pro controller pre-order.

Anyway, I wish you all luck playing the game on either console (or even handheld) and want to encourage everyone to stay strong on spoilers! It's only one more week, so beware of YouTube recommended videos' thumbnail images.

I'm just wondering one thing. Vegetables, fruits and this kind of collectables for crafting do reappear in game? I mean: spicy peppers for example, that are needed to access cold areas, do reappear after some time you take them? Is there any info about this?

Saying something is as high as Mario Galaxy is high praise. Out of this world, even.

I consider Mario Galaxy to be the epitome of condense, pure, pure substance of fun. So if breath of the wild can be similar, I'm happy. But of course I'm not going to take his word for it, because at the moment everyone's hype is completely through the roof.

I loved skyward sword and still do, but remember at the beginning when everyone seemed to think it was perfect and then a few months later opinion suddenly dropped off

Too bad, I was hoping for a WW/TP/Sunshine tier game.

I just want a fun game tbh. As long as it's fun and I don't get bored out of my mind playing it, then I'll be fine.

By the way, Andre (the Gamexplain guy) hates Sunshine and dislikes TP so it's a good thing he didn't compare it to them anyways.

I think they just mean Ocarina/Galaxy calibre of "Remember what they were like new" and that's this.

And I like that. A lot.

@Tsurii Wasn't there a way to miss the best sword in the game in aLttP? Or was that just a playground rumor?

I can't think of any possible way to completely block yourself from obtaining the last sword upgrade.

There's actually quite a few completely missable pictographs in WW:

-A Rito guy who completely disappears after some point in the game.

-Cyclos, you won't ever find him again after beating him.

-The mini boss Wizzro from the Wind Temple.

-And I think the red iron knuckles, you only ever find three of them and they don't reappear.

-Of course, the bosses outside of ghoma and 'Dorfy (I think Lenzo can give you their pics), you only get like one to two chances of getting their pictures.

The only way to get those after missing them is starting a new game+.

I don't recall any missable Poes either. I often complete those after I'm done with most of the game.

@DarthNocturnal You can only buy cutscene-only characters from Lenzo. You need to take pictures of the bosses during the fights. I believe that the four repeat boss fights in Ganon's Tower also count.

Oh and I think you also only have like one or two chances to take a picture of Tetra (and by extension her crew).

Both wear iron and have knuckles.
