It's not a deal breaker for me, but that's still slightly disappointing nonetheless. I doubt something like that would get added this late in development, so there's the very slim hope that HDR will get patched in....
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Nicolai HDR is exclusive to 4K TVs at the moment, but the main problem is that you need HDMI 2.0 for HDR, Switch doesn't support that, it has an HDMI 1.4 port iirc.
You know what would be cool? If Nintendo release a new version of just the dock. That does have hdmi 2.0. For hdr and 4k video streaming. That would be so much easier than a whole new console sku. Probably one of the best benefits of this more modular form of console is Nintendo can update specific parts without forcing people to buy a whole new switch
@Octane dang. I wasn't aware of that. In that case I doubt it'll happen just because I can't imagine Nintendo wanting to get rid of the universal AC port convenience. But then again, they can always surprise us
You merely have the luxury of being snarky about representation.
No, I just don't think fiction is really supposed to be "representing" anyone in the first place. That's a very new idea that I've never heard a good justification for.
Besides, why on earth would people really care about their sex being represented moreso than something like their personality? My best friend who's female is much more like Nathan Drake than I am. Surprise surprise, she finds him far preferable to the new Lara Croft.

The luxury is there whether or not you acknowledge it. And fiction has always been a medium that reflects reality — a representative medium. If it wasn't representative, than logically books, games, and movies would be about seals, bacteria, or disembodied specs of matter, not humans. Which is of course ridiculous — humans like to see themselves in fiction, and that goes for all of us.
Do you guys think it's wise to pre-order the Wii U version now, or will it be in stock at least until the end of summer? I probably won't find time to play until late summer, so I would buy it whenever I'm able to play except that I'm worried shortages may occur and the Wii U version stock may be very low or even nonexistent by then. What do you guys think?
There's violence (killing stuff), crime (breaking pots in homes, shoplifting in Awakening) and sexual content (less common, mostly from Great Fairies in OOT and Twilight Princess and I imagine this game as well). And that's just player examples. Not really a lot of surprise here.
The main sexual thing we've seen (besides the already mentioned Great Fairy) is likely from that scene of Zelda bathing in the lake.
Sold out as in ... you can't even make a preorder for the game??? I never preordered before, but I assumed everyone who preorders is guaranteed to get a copy. Does it just say on Amazon UK that the item (Wii U version of BotW) is unable to be preordered?
