@Octane Yeah, the Special Edition Version that came with all the extra stuff is pretty much gone everywhere already, and Reggie from Nintendo has already confirmed that the special version "is a VERY Limited Edition" that they "would be shipping only one batch to all retailers and won't be making anymore, so when it's gone it's gone". So your only chance to get the Limited Edition version now is pretty much over unless you happen to find a scalper, or you happen to catch one if someone cancels an order.
However, the Standard Version that is just the game on its own is still there (even on the uk site) So fear not if you just wanted to play the game. They will be continuing to supply this version on an ongoing basis, and you'll be able to get hold of it pretty much everywhere that sells games.
Also, remember that Switch games are all region free, so even if you can't get it from one country, you can often find it from other countries. (While the chances of finding the limited edition version is looking pretty slim right now, you might still be able to find it if you know where to look) ...but I'll wish you luck on that one!.
@smm1 ''Currently unavailable'' = sold out, and indeed, you can't pre-order that game anymore. I've seen the game disappear at various other stores and online retailers as well. Don't know how big the first print run is in the US, but I don't expect a second one. I think that by the end of summer the game will be very difficult to find, at least considering the situation over here. I'm glad I actually pre-ordered something this time, because the only copy I just found is €65 (and I paid €52 for mine!). If you really want the physical Wii U version, I'd say get it now. You could even check local retailers and ask them about it, whether it's still available or not and how many copies they still have left.
"Doesn't matter if this is Nintendo's first open world or not, nobody's going to score it higher because this is their first attempt"
That's not what I meant. I meant that Nintendo may not get it completely right the first time around. That it may falter compared to other open-world titles. But we'll see. Personally I think it looks very promising, and hope that I like it a lot.
This might be old news to some of you, but in a recent interview it was stated that you could face the final boss pretty much right after you leave the tutorial area. But why would anyone do that and skip about 99% of the game?
@Julius_Senpai Facing the final boss doesn't mean beating him though. I wonder if it's actually possible to beat him right away, like actually actually possible; Stalling the fight and slowly taking him down. It means you'll be missing out on a lot of story stuff, all those cutscenes. I assume those are mandatory at some point in the game. So maybe it's just being able to face Ganon, but the fight will be scripted so that you'll lose no matter what.
Violence - Of course, when isn't there any form of violence in the Zelda series?
Crime - Also not surprising. I mean, Link has shoplifted from a couple of stores, vandalized pots and chandeliers, committed arson on old mens' doors, attacked and killed innocent animals, etc.
Sexual content - Likely referencing some subtle innuendos and kissing.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Octane I think Calamity Ganon has to die. We've seen defense values on Link's armor, but no other characters. I think Nintendo will like the simplicity of the easy math of weapon damage values dealing exactly that amount of damage throughout the game. I think they'll just increase health pools on bosses, not armor.
It also just occurred to me that — like the Hylians fighting bokoblins out in Hyrule Field — I think we're gonna see Zoras, Gorons, and bird men fighting monsters just around the world. This is the first time that that has happened in a Zelda game not Hyrule Warriors (Or maybe it happened in the Oracle games, I don't know. Point is: 3D. Please do not 'actually' me.).
@Julius_Senpai: Because you can. It's definitely something I intend on trying after I beat the game the first time. @Octane: If it isn't possible via normal means, I bet there's a way to glitch through it @Haru17: No, I think you're right, I can't think of when it happens either. I know Ralph takes on Veran in Oracle of Ages and loses, but he's a major character, and you don't actually get to see the fight, just his fainted body in the corner. If major characters counted, there'd loads of examples, like Midna for example. But regular npcs? I can't think of one.
Really? Could Link agro them or sonething? The Zoras I mean. Gorons have actually been real time enemies / hazards in both Ocarina of Time and moreso in Twilight Princess now that I think of it.

Basically, like facing Ganon in the original or Link to the Past without Silver Arrows?
Oh man, I just realized that Breath of the Wild has a stamina meter for swimming exactly like The Wind Waker. Link drowns upon running out of stamina and there's no dive button. I hope water isn't handled like it was in TWW throughout Breath — that would be a huge mistake. I want to go lake-diving at least!
