The Wii U version of the game will be playable for the first time on the E3 show floor, and it will be the only playable game Nintendo presents at the show, in order to provide attendees a complete immersion.
NX Virtual Reality and online multiplayer confirmed.
Or maybe an interactive map and Gamepad gimmicks...
True, we all know only the 2D games have any relevance in the story.
Indeed. I for one am riveted to see Vatti and Aganagainaheim's next cra-ha-haaazy adventure. I wonder if they'll kidnap the princess or save the princess. Such suspense.
Thinking about the Hylian Shield, how come that thing exists when Hyrule wasn't even a thing yet?
The shield has a red loftwing and the triforce, if anything it was the first Hylian shield made. I imagine that the Dragon made the shield specifically for Link. It would also suggest that SS Link may have had a direct hand in the founding of Hyrule. Or Zelda pinched the design like she pinched Link's position in the series name
It just hit me that the cool red bird design in the Hylian Crest is a loftwing—that stupid sky trolly that trudges on for about 50 hours after it loses all plot relevance.
I think I found a way to hate that game even more.
Zelda: "Oh hey Link, nice shield. Can I borrow it for a second?"
Then she trademarked the logo and mass produced reproductions of the shield.
And that's how Hyrule was made.
Typical royalty, living off the hard working peasants. They aren't even good reproductions, the original was indestructible but all the reproductions can be eaten by jelly monsters. Obviously the like-likes were magically created by the Hyrule royal family to eat the reproductions to ensure there would always be a demand for more shields.
It also explains why the zora turned into bird people when hyrule flooded.
To be fair, I wouldn't raise that as an issue because it doesn't affect the game's internal narrative. There's nothing that relies on the Rito evolving from the Zoras, really.
