Link is very much a descendant of the Hero of Time in Wind Waker. The plot of the game, his sister being mistaken for Zelda, Ganondorf returning, etc, are not a big string of coincidences. It's destiny.

when i say random kid i mean they are apart from destiny, like OoT link was destined to save hyrule, it couldnt be anyone else, in wind waker it could have been any other kid he had no destiny, he just got lucky enough that his sister was mistaken for zelda and he got dragged into the war between good and evil

no, theres a difference between destiny and luck, i might get lucky to win the lottery, but its my destiny to be poor, for example.
link from ocarina of time was destined to be the hero because he was the fairy boy from the forest. one of a kind. the wind waker kid just won the lottery because of a dumb bird not being able to tell the difference between two girls
and the red king has a conversation with jabu i think where jabu asks if the kid is a descendant of the hero of time and the red king says no that hes just some random kid that got caught up in the war. so yes coincedences

But I loved how she accompanied you in Spirit Tracks, and I wonder if she could kinda ride horseback beside you for some parts of this game, what with this new horse AI we're getting.

That'd be kinda cool! It'd be great if we finally got an incarnation of the titular Zelda with an interesting character. Granted, the same can be said for Link.

Eh, I didn't mean Link is the one slowing time, I just meant that time slows down. And no, that isn't just in the trailer, its part of the gameplay. Watch the Game Awards footage.
@Blast: I'm gonna go with the sub title Zelda U had all the way back in that E3 2014 leak... The Legend of Zelda: Unbound King ever since I first saw that fake leak I've refered to it as such it even has a U in the name
The NX is going to be delayed to Holiday 2017 you heard it here first, also It should be pretty obvious what my favorite game of all time is cough Skyward Sword cough
I imagine the name of the game will have to do with whatever the grand gameplay gimmick they've been working on is.
It sounded like they were doing something like that, based on previous statements. Of course that could've just been a generic excuse.
