You do it in the menu where you can see their glowy ghostly orbs and read their descriptions, you might have turned it off by accident.
Look I’m just saying, there’s nothing complicated about that input, if you can do a Urbosas Fury, you can do a Revalis Gale. It’s basically the same method mapped to different buttons. The only way for you to be unable to do it, is because you somehow turned it off or forgot to collect it (though that second one is less likely, but it’s possible to do it!)
So I finished the Champions ballad. A pity that it didn't contain much story, but it did have a few fun champion-centric cutscenes. And the gameplay: Fun shrines with some cool puzzles. My favorite may be "what's in the box". And of course the final dungeon. Maybe not the coolest design (for example, why wasn't it a animal?), but strong puzzles. I reached the first terminal very quickly, but after that it took quite some time before I understood the dungeon. As for the boss: A good and hard boss. But I beat him at my first try, even if I was fumbling around. The reason: lots of hearts and powered up Mipha's grace. I think with only a few hearts and weak Mipha's grace the boss would have been quite painful.
Anyway, was I satisfied: Yes! I think it was a fun addition to a great game, I think I would give it a 8. I even got a bit emotional during the ending, well done Nintendo.
Who is the mystery speaker during the photo-cutscene? The one that takes the photo? People say its Purah. That would make the most sense.
So this thread has been inactive for over a month. I hope that 100 years from now someone will revive this thread using the first sentence you hear in Breath of the Wild... Link... Open your eyes... Wake up, Link.
Anyway, I was hoping some of you want to support the Lego Guardian Stalker project I posted today. I know there's a part of the fanbase that would love a Lego The Legend of Zelda set. I've seen a lot of variations of the Guardian Stalker and decided to make my own version.
I'm currently working on a 2.0 but Lego Design won't accept updates. If you like the concept or just feel like helping, hitting that support button would be much appreciated, thanks!
I'm near the end of the game but I've not been using amiibos. I understand Twilight Princess Link gives you Epona (like Smash Link), several sources claim it, but mine doesn't.
I also read in order to this to work you have to do it in a meadow where you can see horses running free, but I tried it and still simple rewards. Not Epona. What am I doing wrong?

It has to be Smash Link first. Second, she has to be able to stand in front of you (so you can't summon her on a mountain or in the desert). Usually she'll come first, but in my last game it was random.
@BrainOfGrimlock haha yeah but I kinda liked that I wouldn't say it was realistic as such but it felt 'real' like I had control but not really.
The rain could be frustrating but I could forgive it as the climbing itself was a simple idea executed to perfection. A simple stamina shell, some simple controls and making everything climbable. I've been playing Skyrim lately which admitedely is a much older game but playing it made me realise how much these two features really stood out for me. I'm not even that big a fan of Breath of the Wild/Legend of Zelda series (with the exception of Wind Waker) but I hope to see similar innovation in other open world titles going forward.
Correct me if I'm wrong but was this the first time a game has used this climbing system??
@bluemage1989 I haven’t ever played anything with a similar climbing mechanic, no. I did/do like the freedom it gave and was one of the high points of the game for me.
I find myself playing Dragon Age: Inquisition again of all things right now and ignoring that it’s even more disappointing than I remember & seems to have aged very quickly, I’d forgotten just how irritating it is navigating the terrain; simple rock faces the character just won’t climb up etc - i’m not for a minute saying adding ‘Link-style climbing’ would fit the game, but it would sure as heck make it less tedious!
The latest Assassins Creed games let you climb pretty much anything now but it can be pretty inconsistent (can climb sheer massive cliffs, but not steep gradient hills etc) & still not a patch on botw.
@TheLZdragon I'm positive Twilight also gives it, you can see it in amiibo compatibility lists from late 2017 onwards. I've also seen YouTube videos where it happens easily and in the first try. Of course I tried it in safe zones. I don't know why it doesn't work for me.
Finally picked this game up a few days ago and I'm so fascinated. I just keep wandering around and exploring, getting nothing accomplished. And I love it.
@DarkGeno Over time, I found that progression and the overall gameplay rhythm of the experience matched up closely with my own gaming habits, which made my first run of BotW feel very... individual. I love the freedom of the experience, the way it allowed Link to evolve at his own pace and make his own discoveries in a naturalistic fashion through its very open yet still intentional game design.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Guess I wasted my money on that DLC. I knew the first would be a set of challenges but that long and frustrating. Even worse, the second turned out to be yet more challenges with a one hit KO to make it more infuriating.
Afraid I don't find any fun in beating my head against a wall. Simply don't have time.
The DLC was interesting to me, in that it was mostly a garbage waste of money except for the fact that it was more content for BOTW so it was somehow simultaneously absolutely worth it.
@LinkAtWild I'd like a direct sequel where over the course of the game, Hyrule was rebuilt, even if it envolved Tarrey Town-esque "fetch quests". Make an armour suit which means you can climb in the rain, get rid of the Yiga Clan (I hate walking around casually and then suddenly a Yiga Warrior appears to kill me).
To add to my last point, part of me thinks re-using the same map for a new game sounds like such a terrible, redundant idea. But I also totally want to explore it again so...maybe? It's a terrible idea I kinda would totally be down for.
I'd be more open to it than ALBW, whose biggest problem was that I simply find LTTP's overworld to be kinda boring.
