You realize you don't need to find all the shrines or seeds to finish the game, right? In my first playthrough (started a new one) I only found 64 shrines (and three shrine quests to reveal a shrine that I ether got annoyed with or couldn't figure out) I completed 63 shrines. 19 hearts (plus 3 to 5 temp hearts) was more then enough for facing Ganon. Once I figured out some effective tactics for how to knock him out of "I am invincible" mode, that is.
The shrines are manageable. Where I'd put the warning is the koroks seeds. There's absolutely no use or benefit to finding all of them, and you will probably just end up fed up with the game after a while.
@Yosheel Yep. I'll probably do a near 100% run soon, but I'm not looking for all of those seeds. I'm quitting after I hit the point where they stop unlocking weapon and armor slots and purely becomes additions to a checklist.
If 30 seeds was enough that I was constantly ditching weaker weapons and shields (especially since the better swords are usually 2 handed or I had the 'protection' ability by then) cause they aren't breaking THAT often, I can't imagine what you'd need 400 seeds worth of weapon and shield slots for. I already was carrying a sledgehammer for ore extraction and an axe for chopping down trees, plus a korak leaf. And that's in addition to the plethora of weapons used (maybe) in combat.
Shield upgrades were kind of a waste tbh. Like there's too many ways other than using shields to deal with enemies for you to need too many, especially once you find good ones. I basically intentionally shield surf in places I shouldn't just so I have room for another new one occasionally,
I got a Hylean shield, and it basically never took a single hit. Either I was using a 2 handed weapon or the 3 hit force field absorbed any damage the shield might have taken. Bows occasionally would break, as would melee weapons. But more often I would be ditching my current of each in order to pick up a new one that's as good or better. Not that I had that many bows break on me. Motion control aiming is... difficult to judge at times. Especially if firing at something far enough away that you have to arc the shot. So I wasn't bothering with ranged weapons most times after I got decent armor and melee weapons.
Not that I was engaging in fights constantly after a while either.
No way am I hunting down 900 korak seeds. I'll get them if I run across it in the course of exploring. Which sure, after one random seed gained when I picked up a rock to try throwing it at an enemy I ended up doing so for random rocks in odd places. But I'm not gonna go out of my way to find them.
I found Korok Seeds give me something to look for while I'm just randomly walking around exploring which is kinda cool it gives even just a little bit of purpose to idle walks.
I posted a first time a topic on Zelda, but it got closed, referring to this extremely huge thread. Seems all a bit disorganized. This to me would indicate this forum is not affiliated in any way to Ninendo. Correct?

They needed another incentive fulfilling this role. I'd got enough extra weapon and bow slots easily by the time I'd got the master sword.

I'm a little addicted to the sound that plays when a Korok seed appears. It seems to have some deep resonance with me now as a reminder of the wonderful time I had first playing this game.
