@gcunit Maybe you can't infinite fuse weaponry. I think the whole bit where he crafted the boat with the hand power thing is where you can get super creative and use more than one material.
Wait, why do we need a Sigurd? I mean signature, jeez.

@TheBigBlue The weaponry itself is super creative, even if you can only utilize one material, because you probably have a ton of materials to choose from in order to combine and get the effects out of.

So who is taking off work for TotK? I want to but was out sick for a week recently (I have a very heavy workload) so I think I will suck it up and just wait until the weekend to play.

I was seriously considering it but have been in a similar boat to you - almost out for two weeks now. The advantage is the day it releases here will fall on a day off for me anyhow, and depending on how the Saturday and Sunday fall, I reckon I might be able to engineer it so I can get maximum time with the game following its immediate release.
Probably the most excited I've been for a game release in a long time, more so after today's video.
I'll be waiting for it to be delivered I suspect, so not worth booking a day off for it if I don't get it until noon or later.
I'm really curious about one of Anouma's lines in that presentation: he was on the sky island and pointed out the yellow trees, but said you won't see many of them on the surface (by which I assume he meant the ground, not the sky island. So what's special about these trees/sky islands that means you don't see them much below?
Could it be a seasonal difference between the land and the sky?
@gcunit I thought maybe he was eluding to the yellow trees being part of the plot. Although, it just might be an environmental, or distinct, biome rule from development that doesn't mean much.
Edit: I mean, were the Silent Princess flowers that big of a deal in BOTW? I recall it was zelda's favorite flower, but I thought it was only mentioned briefly, and the fact didn't really impact the game (opinion)
Edit: Edit: Rewatched that bit about the yellow trees. I noticed the yellow tree's trunks actually have yellow lichen on them. That's a nice detail. They could have just been lazy with copy & paste trees and just slapped yellow leaves on them, but they didnt.
The gameplay showcase looks great, and looks quite a bit more involved than its predecessor. It looks like we'd need to do creative thinking with what objects we can fuse together... especially with making vehicles. I wonder how much I'd get into the fusing mechanic?

Please ask for my Switch FC if you want to play online with me. Thanks!
@Gerald It won't carry over. This is an entirely different game, and they're resetting Link back to square one, so that people don't end up blowing the progression system.

I don't wanna just repeat the post I made on Push Square, so I will just say this trailer has me hype as hell and that producer fellow's really genuine feeling joy as they talked us through the gameplay sequences really sold me on the whole thing.
Currently playing a LOT of Marvel Snap on Mobile and Cassette Beasts.
I always felt like Hyrule itself was the dungeon in BOTW rather than the hub.
Totally - they essentially scooped up what was underground and placed it on the surface.
Having said that, I really hope that they are back in this game
