@bimmy-lee That's funnny cause I always call Kunio and even Riki Alex and Ryan cause of River City Ransom. In fact I would always select team Japan in Nintendo World Cup because Kunio was on it and USA in Super Dodgeball because again Kunio was in it. Funny thing was I didn't even known that Kunio and Riki were rivals, I always thought they were friends because of RCR.
Renegade I didn't even know was the first Kunio game. I remember renting it because the artwork on the box reminded me of The Warriors. I played it for the weekend and never cleared the first level by the time I had to return it. I remember it as the stupid fighting game especially once Double Dragon came out I never touched Renegade again. I actually found out about Renegade being the first Kunio game not that long ago.
Another funny thing was I never knew that Double Dragon and Kunio was created by the same guy. It blew my mind when I was a kid and heard the Double Dragon theme in River City Ransom!!!
Whelp gang, we are absolutely getting spoiled with Turtles games this year. What did we do to deserve this? It’s not because of me, I’m a terrible person.
@NintendoByNature - Haha, I can imagine young NBN wearing a hole in that VHS tape. I had the Luau for Two episode of Pee Wee’s playhouse on tape and watched it so many times it started to warp.
@Tasuki - Aaand you just blew my mind because I’ve played RCR and DD all my life and somehow never realized Twin Dragons was in both games. Even though I know the song well and would recognize it instantly, I guess I somehow thought it was unique to each game. I also gave up Renegade as soon as DD showed up on NES. The sprites in RCG0 have a very slight resemblance to the sprites in Renegade. They’re taller and more stretched out than the typical Kunio game.
Holy smokes how did i miss the announcment about the Turtles collection!?! I'm totally stoked for this, since I only ever played Turtles in Time and Tournament Fighters. I never expected to say this, but good on Konami.
And since Shredder's Revenge still doesnt have a release date I'm hoping this means they're packing it with extra characters. I shouldn't get my hopes up but Casey is a must, heck maybe we'll get deep cuts like Usagi. Or maybe we'll be able to play as the villians 😳

@Losermagnet - Lots of things on that set to over examine to the point that they start to freak you out, and the dog chair might be towards the top of that list. That chair has definitely eaten people with not a trace after.
Yeah, it appears Merge Games are doing a nice "Signature Edition" release in Europe.
Although Merge Games tends to mean you get a standard retail release as-is.

Not sure if it's known yet, but while scrolling through my wish list items, it showed shredders revenge at $25. But when you click on the actual games page, pricing doesnt show. Seems priced perfectly if you ask me. LRG will probably have it at $40 like SoR4 was.
Steam has this listed as coming "summer 2022" so that might be something. It actually says in bold "Planned Release Date: Summer 2022"
And it's also showing up as 24.99 on wishlist on my nintendo. I think I might just buy it on pc instead of switch, just because of how limited nintendo online is.
I think casey jones is gonna come as a dlc months later, similar to what happened with streets of rage 4 and it's dlc.
So which is gonna come out first this or the cowabunga collection? Both are being vague about price and release dates.
This is vaporware and it will never release and definitely not on June 16th or ever. Mark my words. I’ve literally never been wrong except for a COUPLE times that weren’t my fault.
@NintendoByNature - I double checked with all my sources, and most people believe
it’s vaporware. A couple people said it’ll probably never release, but if it does (it won’t), it deeeeefinitely won’t be June 16th. So yeah, I’ll eat my words. I’ll print this page, bake it right into a tasty za and serve it on a sewer lid.
