@Snatcher @Joeynator3000 If a tetrinomino is our last character that would be kinda cool ...that fits the whole oddball character choice. Also, yea Tetris is the biggest puzzle game in the world.. and has a grand legacy totally "deserving" to be in Smash. I think a stage would prolly be avid representation... and makes a ton of sense..

Also I would think eggman would be a great pick but I think its a little late for that, idk if people would be happy, now waluigi, would make alot of people happy, and I think a pretty great way to end of the pass, I might get mad if its a MK Character, I mean we already have like 4 of characters like that, I don't need a 5th.

@Snatcher It's a fitting idea! Yea, I feel like Eggman is a bit late and would be a strange choice for the last Smash character. I can't wait, and damn Dread is also right around the corner. Idk, I think a MK character would have been cool for Smash, but as the last char, it doesn't feel right somehow.

@tekoii A MK doesn't feel right bc we have a bunch of them already, I really don't want another.

@tekoii There not to easy to play as well, so its just not well you know, I just don't want to many of them.

I have a feeling that, knowing Sakurai, this final character is going to be really off-the-wall and not one of the many characters that people have been speculating since the fighter passes were announced but rather something..unexpected and differentiated from all the other characters. It seems to me that it would be kinda anti-climactic if it was a character that was anticipated or talked about for months.

Nintendo picked out these characters, though, not Sakurai.

There is a freakishly real sounding Sora leak out there. Was it fake? Is it debunked?

@Snatcher I hear ya on that. I always wanted to pick up Ryu or Terry as a fighter, but I don't know how to execute their stronger moves using the original game inputs, so I've always felt discouraged to pick them. Though, I do think I should try and learn those inputs or watch a video!

@SKTTR It was supposedly confirmed the leaker was basically posting the same thing with different dates, from what I saw in the replies of a tweet Jon from the Nintendo Life YouTube channel made mocking the leak's premise. It's a somewhat common practice to try and legitimize fake leaks. I doubted it anyways, since I don't think Nintendo would try and negotiate for Disney music less than 3 months before the presentation was slated to happen (and it's very rare for music to be played during a Mr. Sakurai Presents that isn't included in Smash, which the wording implied; it's only happened for a few Mii costumes after they've been shown in trailers, like Dragonborn).

@SKTTR I haven't checked it out yet, but I would say its to good to be true.

@SKTTR I called bulls**t the moment I saw the sora leak appear, because 1. It was giving major “my uncle works at Nintendo” vibes, and 2. Why would they have just been calling for the music less than three months beforehand, when we all know well enough the presentations are recorded fairly early and 3. I just thought it was super random it was posted randomly in a thread about a fake direct leak, like why if it were true, would you just put it randomly on the internet? And for the final reason, because I hate sora

I honestly hope that the final character ends up being another Fire emblem or anime sword fighter. It's fun to watch the smash fanbase go into chaos over the fact that a character isn't the one they're hoping for.

Really though, I really get the feeling that the final character isn't going to make many people happy.

@VoidofLight It doesn't matter who it'll be there is going to be a very loud minority who will complain incessantly. These are the same people who still post about Byleth.

@mr_somewhere I remember being in a community where someone despised Sakurai for “ruining kirby”, and wanted Sakurai fired for letting Byleth in Smash.

@VoidofLight For people so fixated on Sakurai they don't pay very much attention to what he says. They do know it's up to Nintendo? Of course he has some leeway but he doesn't have complete control. I'm hoping once the dust has settled people will take a long hard look and finally appreciate the roster for what it is.
