Is anything really locked behind the amiibos? Or can it all be unlocked eventually in the game itself?

Speaking of amiibo, I completely forgot I pre ordered ridley months ago. I've been tight on money this month in particular and was surprised when the Amazon shipment notice came. But I let it come anyway, I'll live with $13 less dollars if it means ridley figure

Is it true there aren’t any final fantasy spirits? (Besides cloud, obviously)

...Still wished Monster Hunter had more stuff in here, like...more spirits or music. Also, I kinda wished they used the looped version of Proof of a Hero. lol

She’s unbelievably cheesy. She’ll just spam her sliding kick bit non-stop. It’s so lame.

The only viable strategy I’ve found is block, counter, block, counter ad infinitum. And don’t even think about going airborne. She’ll spam her trash sliding move as you’re coming back down.

Whoever programmed that fight needs a smack across the mouth.

I'm even more convinced Elma is DLC, as far as I can tell there's no Xenoblade X representation at all meanwhile pretty much every other Wii U game got in. Sure I don't have all the spirits and music but it's looking to be the case.

@Delibheel Feels odd, even games like Mario Tennis Ultra Smash are present.

Mario Tennis Aces also has a Spirit with Mario in his sports gear.

Although I heard that there are X Spirits in the game on Twitter? I think.

If people are having trouble with unlocking characters by defeating them, something you can try is using DK. Charge up your punch and land a few normal attacks, after that try and bury the character with your side-special and then use your big punch. I'm able to end the fight shortly after it begins, lol

(it doesn't always work, though, but it helps a lot)

I’ve tried doing that but the opponent always ends up getting out before I can charge the punch. The most luck I’ve had with unlocking was using Simon/Richter and just Smash Attacking.

Yeah, you gotta damage them a bit so you'll have enough time to throw the punch at them. (or Smash attack if you wanna do that instead)

Isabelle annoys me...I hate her grab, bleh. lol

It’s a good thing they debuffed Bayo. Unlocking her was a breeze even with broken AI. However, I think the new characters are a bit unbalanced, but maybe it’s because they are mostly strategic. Love that Ike is still a powerhouse, though.

@ReaderRagfish Isabelle in general is annoying, but yes that stupid fishing rod. xD

What’s worse about Isabelle is that my friends’ daughter loves her. Now that I unlocked her, I’m gonna have to deal with that fishing rod all the time if the kid plays with us 😂

Also, this game is being evil to me with the characters, it keeps giving me ones I don't care about. I mean, yeah I got Ridley and Rool, but...GIVE ME MEWTWO, WOLF, AND DUCK HUNT ALREADY!!! lol

I’m just satisfied with the best Fire Emblem character in the game, Ike.
