Topic: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Same thing happened with Smash Wii U, as soon as it came out scalpers brought up the adapter, much like the amiibo, to take advantage of the Xmas pressure to ensure parents get their kid all their presents for Xmas. I myself got lucky after my order was declined with Nintendo UK but Shopto managed to get some in a week or 2 later. Course, now the stand alone's been delayed in the UK so scalpers will be snapping up as many of the Wii U adapters as they can.

I hope this doesnt effect the Special Bundle with the game, GC Controller and Adapter but worse case scenario is at least the Nintendo UK Store orders will get a free download code (As I recalled a bundle for Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer got delayed and they gave customers download code, plus when my Pokemon USUM were late in the post last year they gave me a Ultra Sun download code on release day to play till the physical copies arrived.), but boy that'll end up costing them.....

I have enough of a backlog that I'd endure waiting if the special edition got delayed. Didn't preorder from the Nintendo UK Store so my options would be wait, downgrade to standard edition or buy digital.

I learned that World Of Light will have no co-op mode. I'm pretty disappointed, I had a lot fun moments with my brother when we were playing through Subspace. For instance, we had a lot chaotic moments when we tried to use the Trophy Stand Coin on Tabuu.

How does anybody else feel or think?

@Elvie I'll mostly be playing World of Light by myself so the lack of co-op isn't a dealbreaker for me. However, I too have memories of playing Subspace with my brother, so I do think it's a tad disappointing that the option is no longer present. Online co-op would've been nice, too.

@Vee_Flames I guess we could wait for an update or something of that nature but I'm pessimistic over that happening.

Japan overview trailer, mostly already known stuff but it does confirm Morag is a spirit. I'm still impressed by how they got around XC2 being less than a year old.

It’s actually quite daunting as a relative newcomer - I could say i’ll stick to the characters i’m familiar with but that’s 95% of the roster!

Will probably start out with Ryu (Ken can jog on), Cloud & Mewtwo & move on to the Fire Emblem crew from there. Always had a soft spot for Wario too.

Long term I’d like to try everyone (it’s often the one you least expect that meshes with your style i’ve found in fighters!); probably means i’ll end up maining Kirby, a character I am so apathetic towards I fall asleep typing his name!

Did a little Kirby on classic 5.0, and I remember him more than I thought. Can’t forget my lightning fast Zero Suit Samus, too.

The Smash Bros. bundle that the U.S. getting is kinda lame in my opinion. Its cover is just the game's box art and it only has a pro-controller while the Limited Edition bundle in Europe has a Gamecube controller (with adapter) and its box has that awesome "Everyone is here!" banner.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can obtain it without paying a scalper price?

The remixes in this game are wonderful, they did a fantastic job.

So I'm really trying my hardest only to listen to the full versions of the remixes that had previews posted like Guile's theme and Gang-Plank Galleon. Those tracks are AMAZING.

However, the one new remix that I did listen to was one of the BotW Switch Presentation trailer music. Just wow.

Dude, all of the remixes of the songs I care about are INCREDIBLE. Castlevania got the best of them too, which makes me happy af!!! Out of Time is phenomenal!

Although I was massively disappointed when Can't Wait Until Night was just ripped off from Harmony of Despair instead of having its own remix. But at least I know because of that, Heart of Fire is in the game which is my absolute favorite track from Castlevania, period. I was scared they weren't going to have Heart of Fire in the game because the huge list of the 34 Castlevania songs didn't have it, but turns out at least it'll be in the game, even if it's a version I've already listened to on repeat.

I’m going to hold out till release for the music, but I certainly plan on using my Switch as my office jukebox. Just like Smash 4 on my ds

Yikes, this game isn't really ultimate on the skins department. Link's costumes especially look lackluster, Smash Bros 4 did a much better job here. I hope this isn't final!

Why does Link get such poor treatment? The quality of skins varies greatly between characters. Ridley for example has the Meta skin which is lovely. This Fierce Deity Link looks anything but Fierce.

Fair warning everyone, everything from Smash Ultimate has leaked now. The opening movie, the cutscenes, bosses, and maps for World of Light, everything. I've already looked at most of the leaks (I am very weak) and I can safely say that they're all amazing, but for anyone who wants to stay unspoiled, be very careful over the next two weeks!
