@Lroy yes itβs wireless. I wonβt even open the Horipad and will return it to Amazon next week. I got a little carried away with the add to basket button - Amazon mobile makes it too easy!
The lesson is always listen to your pals on NL.

@wasilewski You shouldn't need to remove the joy cons to sync 8bitdo controller. On the home menu go to controllers, change grip/order, and pair the 8bitdo to become the player 1 controller.
@wasilewski
Theyβre specific instructions for the switch sync, depending on which controller you get. Go to their website if you canβt sync it, but having joy cons attached makes no difference either way.

I was in the middle of a game when an update rolled out, forcing me to quit & update. Weβll have to see what was fixed.
Eh? Capcom have updated the game? I am still on version 1.01. There was a day 1 patch to add the training mode I believe. Not seen any other updates yet?

@Lroy 8Bitdo wireless pads have lag issues. They range from horrific to annoyingly bad. But in a competitive online fighting game, any unnecessary lag is problematic. I've had 3 different 8Bitdo control pads and each time I hoped that the newer version or the newer firmware fixed the problems, but it never worked. And that arcade stick that they have for the Switch is hot garbage. I actually think it's just a expensive re-skinned Mayflash stick.
I still haven't been able to get a playable online session going. All of them are pretty laggy and have a lot of pausing and jerking. It'd be nice to know if this is something that they know about and will fix soon, or are we going to have to shelve hopes of being able to play this game online for a while. I'm tempted to take one for the team and buy it on the PS4 and report back if it's a cross-platform problem or not.
@Pizzapasta No problem. Looks like this is typical of Capcom as SF5 also launched with very laggy online play that was greatly improved in the months that followed (from what I read from the same thread. Not from personal experience.) Soooo... maybe there's hope?
@mauhlin12 I dropped the default lag from 3 to 0 in the settings... I'm not exactly sure what that does. But I think right now they might need to tweak match making because there seems to be a lot of match making with far away players. I actually had a pretty okay match with someone in the US today, but I keep on getting super laggy connections with people in Japan... Which is pretty weird because it's not even out in that region.
